Mal's POV:
Lonnie and I had just left Ben and Jay voicemails. I looked at my phone. I couldn't believe what I saw.
A voicemail from Ben! "Lonnie! Look!," I exclaimed, excitedly.
She gasped. "Listen to it! Put it on speaker!," she exclaimed. With that, I tapped on it, and put it on speaker.
I cried a little while listening to it. "Mal, I can't believe that happened. I can't believe I let it happen. I should have fought harder. I was so stupid, I don't know why I acted the way that I did. Mal I'm so sorry. Please let me hear your beautiful voice again. Babe, I love you so much. Please call me back," he had said, finishing the voicemail.
"That was beautiful, I'm calling him again right now," I said, about to tap on his number, but then realized something.
I only had 2% power left on my phone. No, no, no. Please. I quickly taped on his number. Come on, come on, pick up, pick up, I thought. "Hello?," I heard on the other end.
"Ben?!," I said, happy to hear his voice.
"Mal?! I le-ft y-ou a a v-voi-oi-ce-ce ma-ma-il," he said, but the line was breaking up.
"Oh no no no no no no!!," I started saying. "No! No!," the line ended and my phone died. Great. "What happened?," Lonnie asked.
"My phone died," I said, in a sad tone.
"Use yours! Call Jay again!," I exclaimed. Lonnie quickly pulled her phone out and started to call Jay.******
Anonymous's POV:
He and I were walking around, trying to find them, after we had devised our plans on what to do when we find them. Then we stumbled upon a stream.
There were little origami boats in the stream with stuff written on them. We laughed and picked up some and read them.
He picked up a blue one. It read, 'I wish for Mal's wish to come true. Whatever it is. Signed Ben'. We both laughed at that.
That little Romeo. How cute. I picked up a purple one.
It read, 'I wish to meet my dad on this trip. Signed Mal'. I showed it to him.
He chuckled. How ironic. "Well, if he wants hers to come true, then he'll have no problem risking it all so that it does," I said with an evil smirk.
He nodded slowly and we both started chuckling evilly.******
Ben's POV:
Jay and I had been chatting while we were waiting for Mal or Lonnie to call us back. Then Mal called me back and suddenly it ended. "Mal? Mal?!," I exclaimed into the phone. Jay looked at me weird.
"What happened?," he asked, confused.
"The line went out. I think her phone died. Judging by the way she kept saying 'No, no, no, no, no, no,'" I said.
"Oh. Well I guess that makes more sense than my theory," Jay said.
"What was your theory?," I asked, curious. "That Lonnie and all the girls found her and were eavesdropping and one of them snatched the phone out of her hand and threw it in the lake and then Lonnie tries calling me yelling 'AUDREY IS AN OBSESSIVE PSYCHOPATH' in Chinese," he said.
I looked at him weird. "I don't even know what to say to that. I promise you that's not what's happening," I said, reassuring him.
"Okay," he said taking a big breath. Then his phone started ringing.
He looked to see who it was. He gasped and threw his phone at the tree.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!," I exclaimed, wanting an explanation for why he did that.
"IT WAS LONNIE! I FREAKED OUT!," he exclaimed.
"JAY! I TOLD YOU THAT YOUR THEORY WASN'T TRUE!," I yelled.
"Sorry," he said, and ran over to check his phone.
"And it's broken," he said, picking it up from the bottom of the tree.
"Oh, really? Never would have thought that," I said sarcastically.
"Is Ben using sarcasm?," he said, dramatically gasping.
"Ha ha," I said, annoyed. "Wow Mal has really had an influence on you," he said.
"Yeah. Are you surprised? I've been dating her for like 8 months," I said.
"A little, still, yeah," he said, still kinda surprised.
"Well, Audrey had an impact on you too," I said. Jay scoffed. "As if," he said.
"Well, you have more manners, you're more of a gentleman than you were before, you're a good listener," I said.
"Well, you have to be, with Audrey. Or else she'd probably throw a hissy fit," he said.
I chuckled. "True, and that's exactly my point," I said.
"Well, how close do you think we are to finding Mal's dad?," he asked.
I was about to say something but then someone said something for me.
"We know how close," a voice said. Jay and I slowly turned our heads to see the two guys that had been following us earlier.******
Carlos's POV:
"Are you done eating yet?," Chad asked in a tired, annoyed tone.
"Just one more tater," I said, and I ate the last baby tater.
"Okay, can we go now?," Chad asked.
"Right after my girlfriend finishes her song with her beautiful voice," Doug said.
"Awwwww," I said with a smirk, nudging Doug, which made his glasses fall off and fall into the cheese dip.
He glared at me and slowly put his glasses on. I and the rest of us tried so hard to contain our laughter.
"And love is the name!," Evie sang, finishing her song on stage, and walking back over to where we were as everyone clapped for her. Evie was giggling as hard as she could at Doug. She pulled out her phone.
She walked over to Doug, sat beside him, pretended like she was licking the cheese off the side of his glasses and took a selfie.
"And I have my new screensaver!," she exclaimed jokingly.
Doug took his glasses off and playfully rolled his eyes at his girlfriend.
Doug started to wipe the cheese off his glasses with a napkin.
"Here, I'll help," Evie said, and started helping her boyfriend.
"This, little witch, made me do the Macarena 8 times!," Chad exclaimed, annoyed, and gesturing towards Audrey.
Audrey playfully gasped. "It was good exercise! And it was hilarious! I got it on video and posted it!," she exclaimed happily.
"You did what?!," Chad said, annoyed and almost startled everyone in the room.
"Uh, can we please go now?," he asked, sitting back up properly.
"Yeah, fine," I said. Doug and Evie had finished cleaning the cheese off his glasses by now.
"What about Mal, Ben, Lonnie, and Jay?," Jane asked, as we all walked outside.
"Maybe they're already back at our camp," I said. Then I ran into someone. It was those guys that were following us earlier.
"I have a very strong feeling that they won't be there," he said, chuckling evilly, and getting closer to us.******
Mal's POV:
My phone had just died when I tried calling Ben. I heard his voice. All I could understand of the very few words I heard him say was that he left me a voicemail.
At least I got to listen to that before my phone died. I wish I could fix this. Lonnie was calling Jay right now.
"Are you kidding me?!," she exclaimed. "What is it?," I asked.
"The line just ended. Got cut off for some reason, no voicemail, nothing," she said.
"What do you think happened?," I asked her. "It probably startled him, and he broke his phone or something," she said bluntly.
"Yeah, knowing Jay, probably," I said. We sat back down on the rock.
"So, you excited about possibly meeting your dad?," she asked.
"Yeah, I really am. I really want to know who he is. I'd probably do anything to find out," I said. Lonnie nodded and smiled.
"Uh, try calling Ben," I said. Lonnie went to Ben's contact and pressed his number. It went straight to voicemail.
We sighed. "So, what do we do now?," she asked. I was about to say something but then we heard someone.
"Perhaps we could be of assistance," a voice said. It was those guys from earlier that were following us.
"WHO ARE YOU," Lonnie shouted at them sternly.
"Anonymous," one said, in a deep tone.
"Good enough for me!," Lonnie said, and she pulled out her sword and started fighting them.
I kept dodging out of the way while the other one was trying to catch me.
Then all of a sudden they threw something at both me and Lonnie, and we both fainted to the ground. To be continued...
Yes. That just happened. What do you think those guys have in store for them? What will happen now that someone knows Mal's wish? Comment what you think so far!
