Ben's POV:
I was holding onto Mal's hand. I wanted her to wake up soon. I looked at the clock. It was after midnight.
"Mal...I don't know if you can hear me or not, but I love you so much. I really wish I could hear your beautiful voice right now. I'm not letting go, I can't imagine living my life without you, please wake up soon. If I don't have you, I will never be happy again. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. You're my true love, my life, my everything. I love you so much...," I said, and I just stared at her for a few minutes, and nothing happened.
"Okay...just rest honey...," I said, and I kissed her on her lips then her head.
I sat back in the chair that was there, just staring at her until I fell asleep in the chair, but still not letting go of her hand.

Mal's POV:
I slowly blinked my eyes open. I was in the hospital bed.
I slightly looked over and saw that Ben was asleep in the chair beside me, holding onto my hand.
I looked at the clock. It was 7:00 a.m. I had honestly heard every word that Ben said to me last night.
Every word being so beautiful that everything he said replayed in my mind all night. Him saying how much he loves me. Professing his love to me.
I feel the same way about him. I really do love him so much too.
I couldn't help but think about if the others were here or if they had gone back to their dorms for the night.
It touched me so much, that Ben didn't leave me. He stayed right there by my side, holding onto my hand all night. It proves how much he loves me.
I closed my eyes until I heard him wake up. I heard him sigh, and he probably stretched. I felt him touch my hair.
"Good morning my beautiful purple angel," he whispered softly and he kissed my lips. I kissed him back, surprising him.
"Mal?," he said softly, almost in tears. "Ben," I said softly with a smile and slowly opened my eyes.
We just stared at each other for a few seconds before pulling each other into the longest, most heartfelt kiss we've ever shared.
"I love you so much," he said, as we pulled away.
"I love you too. So much. Ben, I heard every word you said last night...and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard, it replayed in my mind all night, I know you really do love me and I feel the same way about you. Even if I don't say it as many times as I should. I do really love you Ben," I said.
"I meant every word my love, and I do really really love you," he said, squeezing my hand. "I love you," I said, and we kissed again.
We then pulled away, just smiling and staring at each other for a few seconds before I broke the silence.
"Where are the others?," I asked, meaning our friends, wondering if they were here too.
"They may be outside in that area in front of the elevators," he said.
"Okay," I said, hoping that was true. "I'll go check," he said, starting to get up.
"Okay," I said in kind of a cheerful tone. "I'll come right back, I promise," he said, kissing my hand, before quietly heading out the door.

Ben's POV:
I quietly closed the door to Mal's room. I walked over to the area where the elevators were. Sure enough, Evie, Carlos, Jay, and the others were all there.
Lonnie had her head on Jay's shoulder, while they were sharing earbuds, listening to music. Carlos was showing Jane pictures of Dude, that she kept gushing over how cute he was.
Evie was laying on one of the couches, her head in Doug's lap as he softly played with her hair. Audrey and Chad, well, I'd rather not talk or think about what they're doing...I find it rather disturbing, honestly.
Reenacting parts from their parents stories (whispering of course) in an overly dramatic manner, and Audrey kept making him redo everything.
I approached my friends, and a few of them saw me, and gave me a questionable look, as if to say "Is Mal awake?"
I nodded with a small smile. They all looked at each other, and quickly got up to follow me to Mal's room.
Evie almost knocked off Doug's glasses in the process when she very quickly shot up, startling Doug half to death.
I led them to Mal's room, and Mal smiled at us, and I walked back to where I was before, beside her.
"Mal," Evie, Carlos, and Jay said in unison, all going over to give her a hug.
"Thank goodness you're alright. I don't know what we'd do without you," Evie said. "I second that," I said, agreeing.
"Third," Jay said. "I was gonna say that," said Carlos.
"Oh but who said it first? Who said it first?," Jay said, teasing Carlos, who just glared at him. "Fine, fourth," Carlos said reluctantly.
"Oh, Mal, I'm so glad you're okay," Audrey said, standing at the door, with Chad behind her.
"Thanks," Mal said with a smile, which Audrey returned. It was nice to see them finally getting along.
"So, has the doctor came in here yet?," Evie asked.
"No, not yet," I said. Just then, the doctor was at the door.
"Hello," she said in a sing-song tone, which startled Chad, and he and the others quickly started to move away to let her in.
"We were just talking about you," Evie said with a smile.
"Were you?," she asked in response. The two of them giggled.
"Well, this is great news, that you are awake. You should be perfectly fine now," she said. We all smiled when she said that.
"So, that means I'm good enough to leave now?," Mal asked with a hopeful expression. "Yes it does. It'll take about half an hour at least, but you're free to go!," she said happily with a smile.
"Okay, great!," I said. I was so happy that Mal was perfectly fine now, and free to be released from the hospital. I don't know what I'd do without her.
