Harry's POV
I was walking towards Prince's classroom to grab a notebook that I had forgotten in there, when I heard noise coming from his class. I quickly hide behind the corner, away from sight. I heard familiar voices so I peeked around the corner. I was pretty shocked to see Snape and Malfoy coming out of his class. My notebook was now forgotten as I ran quickly and quietly back to my Common Room.
I was pretty suspicious to see them there, but not shocked or anything like that. I was pretty sure Prince was a Deatheater anyway. Maybe this means that Voldemort is back and Snape is joining him again with Malfoy since Dumbledore isn't here. I was sure that was the case.
I have to tell McGonagall. I decided.
I stopped in the hallway, then made my way to her office instead of the Gryffindor Common Room. It took a little longer than I had remembered it being, but I eventually made it, only having to evade Filch once.
I knocked on the door to McGonagall's office and waited patiently. I heard footsteps coming, then the door opened to reveal a kinda annoyed Headmistress.
"I wanted to inform you of something I saw." I told her.
"And what was that and how is it so important that you had to come to me after curfew." she asked me irritated.
"Well, I saw Professor Snape and Malfoy coming out of Professor Prince's classroom and it seemed suspicious." I told her.
"I can assure you that Professor Prince, Professor Snape, and Mister Malfoy, are completely innocent and we're doing nothing wrong. From what I was told, Mister Malfoy needed both of them to sign a form for a job application. I was needed to sign it too." McGonagall told me.
"Oh, um, sorry for bothering you then. Goodnight Headmistress." I said sheepishly. She smiled, but ushered me out of her office anyways, not saying a word.
I sighed. Time to go back.
By the time I got back to the dorms, it was about two minutes till curfew. Which meant that as soon as I entered, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny were there bombarding me with questions about where I was.
Hermione seemed the most worried.
"Where were you mate?" was what I heard first.
"We were worried sick Harry, where have you been?" followed Ron's question.
"Please tell me a good reason I had to stay up this late, I have Quidditch practice first thing tomorrow morning." Ginny spoke after Hermione.
"I went to tell Headmistress McGonagall about how I saw Snape and Malfoy suspiciously walking out of Prince's class." I told them.
Ginny and Hermione groaned, while Ron looked slightly hopeful.
"What did she say?" all three of them asked at the same time. Ron asking a lot more enthusiastic than the girls did.
"She said that Malfoy needed both of their signatures for some job thing." I sighed.
"Aw man." Ron muttered disappointedly. Hermione smacked him.
"If you really don't trust Professor Prince, try talking to him." Hermione suggested.
"How is that supposed to make me trust him?" I asked her.
"Well it worked for me. He's a very good person to talk to." Hermione confessed.
"What? When did you do that!" Ron yelped.
"It happened a day or two ago I think. I had a nightmare and McGonagall suggested I go talk to Prince. It was very helpful."
Ron looked like he wanted to ask more questions, but the look on Hermione's face said otherwise.
"I think you should give it a go," Ginny shrugged, "I mean, what's to lose in this?"
"His life." Ron muttered blandly.
"Ron!" Ginny and Hermione scolded.
"Just do it Harry, it'll be good for you." Ginny urged.
Well, I really don't have anything to lose. If this goes well, I don't know, but if it doesn't, at least I know more about him, hopefully. I planned.
"Fine, I'll talk to him." I sighed, Ginny and Hermione cheered.
"We should get some rest, you can talk with Prince tomorrow Harry." Hermione said.
I shrugged. It doesn't really make a difference.
We said our goodnights and went our separate ways.

When I woke up, I quickly got ready and then made my way to Prince's class.
It didn't take long for me to get there, but once I was there I hesitated for a moment.
I sucked in a breath and then knocked on the door. In a surprisingly short time, the door was open and I was looking at a very awake Professor Prince.
"What's up?" Prince asked me nonchalantly.
"Um, I wanted to talk with you. Hermione said your very...good at it." I smiled, but I'm sure it looked more like a grimace.
"Okay, we'll come in then." he stated as he moved out of the way. I hesitated before walking in. "Take a seat anywhere. Do you want a drink or something to eat?" he asked.
"No thanks." I took a seat on the couch and placed my hands in my lap awkwardly.
"M'kay." he shrugged and sat across from me in one of the comfy chairs.
Their was awkward silence as he stared seemingly into my soul. I fidgeted around.
"It wasn't your fault they died." Prince said suddenly, in a much more careful voice than he had been speaking in before.
"W-wha-?" I stuttered.
"The people who died in the war. Even before that. I can see you blaming yourself for their deaths. But it wasn't you fault."
"Y-yes it was, I-I could've done something to prevent it!" I said, startled out of my shocked state.
"People come and go, you can't prevent it. You can only prolong their stay, but that only hurts everyone. It's better to let that blame go and remember those people that way they deserve to be remembered. They deserve to be remembered for their life and not their death. And I know it's hard to let them go sometimes, trust me, I know, but it's not respectful to them to blame yourself when it's not what they want you to do." Price said fiercely.
"But if I only did better, none of that would've happened! If I had died when I was a baby, maybe things would've been better." I defended, not wanting him to be right in anyway. I deserved the hate I got, because it was my fault all these people are dead.
"War and death happen, and they suck, but you can't change fate. It was your fate to kill Voldemort, just as it's my fate to help others. You can't change the past, but you can learn from it and become better."
I shook my head. "I think I need to leave." I croaked out. Prince nodded and opened the door without saying anything.
I quickly rushed out and to the Great Hall for breakfast.
As I made my way to the Great Hall, I remembered I hadn't asked him about Professor Snape and Malfoy. I shook my head, that's not important anymore.

A/N
I am starving. I've only had a bagel today.Also. I am shook from Voltron season 7, idc about what anyone else says, I still think it's good. Even tho I'm a little disappointed.
One more thing. I hate sharing a bed with my sister and I can't wait till I get back home.
Time to read some Klance or Drarry. Fanfiction is the only thing I can rely on these days. And music. Music never lets me down either.
