It has been a week since everything had calmed down and without Chris around, Liana was bored as hell. She was out of work, no one to talk to except Lucas and half the time he was busy. It was just a mess and on top of that, she was still stuck in her dad’s house and she wasn’t even talking to him at the moment, so she spent most of her time locked in her room, asleep.
Being in the house was getting boring though and since she had nothing better to do, she went in her dad’s office, went in his safe and grabbed herself a wad of cash and left out. She drove to the mall and took her depression and anger out on buying herself a whole new wardrobe. By the time she left, she had a shitload of bags and it was damn near six hours later.
She got back in the house just in time to see Rashad coming from the den with a hard look on his face. Liana quickly looked away from him when he looked at her. “You ain’t speaking now?” he mumbled, grabbing her arm when she tried to walk passed.
“I don’t know if I should…” she said back, huffing.
“Chris ain’t here.” Liana rolled her eyes, yanking away from him and going upstairs.
She hated when someone mentioned his name because it only reminded her that he was locked away in somebody’s prison and she was out here—alone. It sucked to say the least and although it had only been eight days, it still felt like forever. “Yo,” Rashad said from her doorway making Liana jump from her thoughts. “can I chill with you?”
“No, now leave.” He smirked, coming in her room and shutting the door softly. “Rashad, get out.”
“Why you gotta act all brand new on a nigga? I thought we were cool…” he went to her bed, tugging on her legs and pulling her down to him.
“Quit it nigga.” She spat, kicking at him and she tried to scoot back up, but he grabbed her again, climbing on top. “Stopppppp!” she giggled when he kissed on her neck, trailing up to her lips where he pecked her once.
“Why you acting like that?”
“Because this is wrong; Chris is your best friend and not to mention my boyfriend.”
“Best friend? Nah and he ain’t here to fulfill your needs, drop that nigga.”
“Nope.” She smiled, pushing him from off her and standing up. She walked to the door and pulled it open. “Now if you’re done talking bullshit, you can route.”
“Really Liana?” Rashad asked, frowning. When all she did was stare at him, he shook his head and got up, leaving out. Liana didn’t wait for him to speak again before she slammed the door in his face.

“Your arraignment is set for tomorrow morning at nine-thirty and we’re pleading Not Guilty because it was an act of self defense , correct?”
“Mhm…” Chris mumbled back to his lawyer as he sketched on her notepad. “That shit won’t work though.”
“Why’d you say that? You have no faith in me?” Ms. Daniels asked, pouting playfully.
Chris smirked, shaking his head and leaning back in his chair, looking down at his all black prison uniform. “I’m not much of an optimist so, I’m expecting the worst.”
“Well you shouldn’t because I’m good at my job.”
“What else are you good at?” he pondered, raising his eyebrows.
“That’s enough for today, Mr. Brown.” She said, getting up and smiling to herself as she walked to the door. He wouldn’t lie and say that he wasn’t staring at Ms. Daniels’ ass. She didn’t even have to try too hard; her sex appeal was just oozing out. He’d give anything to bend her over the table they were sitting at and fuck her until the buttons on her shirt popped off. “Remember, tomorrow morning. Be on your best behavior, please.”
“Call me daddy and I may consider.”
“Goodbye Mr. Brown.” She blushed, walking out the room and Chris chuckled to himself, shaking his head.
Not too long after, a security guard came in to get Chris. He escorted him back to his holding cell and he huffed, sitting on the bed and rolling his eyes. “Yo, do I get my fucking phone call?” he called out and heard someone suck their teeth before the guard that just brought him there opened the cell and led him to the row of phones.
“You got ten minutes.” He mumbled.
“Shut the fuck up.” Chris spat, leaning against the wall and calling Liana. The guard grilled Chris, rolling his eyes and walking away.
“Hi babe!” Liana said excitedly into the phone as soon as she answered.
“Sup…”
“Nothing, I just took a shower.” She said, sighing. “How was your day?”
“It was rainbows and fucking butterflies baby, what do you think?”
“Sorry damn. I’m just tryna make conversation.” She snapped, sucking her teeth.
“Watch your tone lil nigga.”
“Fuck off asshole.”
Chris laughed, shaking his head. “You miss me?”
“Not really…” Liana said back jokingly.
“Whatever, you miss me.”
“I do, you need to come home already. Fuck, when do you meet with a judge? It’s already been forever.”
“Tomorrow…but I already know that shit ain’t gonna go well…”
“Why you say that? I hope it does, I really miss you.”
“I know and I miss you too but…whatever. Fuck it.”
“No, not fuck it. Stop acting like you don’t care Christopher! Because of your retarded ass, I’m out here by myself with all these stupid fuckers that keep trying to throw them selves at me, my dad is still an asshole and I’ll be dammed if I have to raise this baby alone!” she spat, huffing.
“Wait, baby?” Chris said, frowning and turning towards the wall. “You’re pregnant , Li?” he asked lowly like it really mattered; the phone call was being recorded anyway.
“Yeah,” she started after a moment of being silent. “I took a test earlier just to be on the safe side and it read positive…”
“What the fuck? Didn’t you just get an abortion?”
“Not with your baby!”
“How I know it’s mine?” he quickly asked before he could process what he said. The next thing he knew, Liana screamed a furious fuck you in his ear before hanging up.
