Prologue

"Name?"

"Ryuuga Sawada."

"Age?"

"16."

"Reason to be here?"

"I have a meeting with Mr. Mikazuchi due to my internship."

"Ah huh." The bored look on the woman working as the secretary pierced through my soul like a sharp throwing spear. She stared directly at my eyes before checking a list on her laptop and during that small time window, I felt my heart rate slowing down. "Ah huh, he is waiting for you in his office. Third floor, fourth door on the right."

"Thank you, ma'am!" I started heading towards the nearest elevator and once I was in, I pressed the the button than lead to the third floor. Holy hell, that secretary was intimidating. But again, maybe it's just me. I'm not the best at dealing with new people. Being social is a thing I rarelly do. I blame it on my father. He is a weird person. Sure, you can say that that is because he is ok with sending his older son to a private school while the younger one is in a public one but that isn't the worst thing. He likes card games a bit too much. Sometimes he takes me and my brother to watch this card game matches on giant fields. He is overall a big card game nerd and my brother got that from him. But I am different. I don't have any interest in card games. Hell, I don't even want to start playing one. Some say that card games can lead to friendships but to me, that all is some sweet smooth bullshit. In the private school I used to attend, they found out about my father and brother and that lead to me having problems when it comes to being social with others. That's is also why I don't want to go to high school. 

I knocked on the fourth door on the right. This was a weirdly specific office on a building with over ten floors. But why am I here? That is easy to explain. I have a dream. And that dream is to travel the world and see every single thing it has to offer. This internship on the the Mikazuchi Group is the best way to achieve that dream. If everything goes right, I will be able to get a job here once I graduate and if I do that, my dream will be closer to me. I can already feel it. The freezing mountains of Sweden, the rainy skies of England, the forests of Malasya and much more! 

"Come in!" A manly voice replied.

This was my moment. This was the first step towards my dream. I took a deep breath and opened the door of the office. The office overall was weird. It's main scource of light were blue neon lines on the walls, ceiling and floor. But in the center of the office, there was a desk with a computer and alot of files... But there was no chair or person...

Or so I thought. As I approached the desk, I noticed a gaming chair on a perfect 180º angle. And there was a man on the chair! "Huh... Mr. Mikazuchi?"

The chair shifted to a 90º angle and I saw him. The man who lead the Mikazuchi Group. A man white hair, a white goatee and red eyes behind glasses. He had a button shirt under a black vest and had a red tie. I couldn't really see what he was wearing from the waist down so I guess my description ends there. He also a watch on his wrist which I can only assume to be a Rolex.

"Don't call me that, call me Ryuzaki. I know that I'm old but not that old. And by the way, nice glasses! Four-eyed bros!" He extended his fist towards me. I can only assume he was expecting me to brofist him but I was just frozen there. "I'm just joking with you."

"Right..." I'm starting to think that he may be going through a mid-life crisis at this point.

"Maybe one day you'll get a chair that can do this. Mine only costed 399. But we're not here to talk about chairs from dead memes. We're here about your internship. And from what I read in the document you sent us, you have a dream. A good one. You wanna travel the world and see all it's beauty."

"Y-yes! I used to travel alot when I was a kid but then my younger brother was born so the traveling just stopped. And then years later, my mother-"

"You don't have to talk about it. I know what happened. Working on an unstable nuclear power plant is not the best of jobs. But hey, she isn't dead so let's get some positivity in here!"

"Y-yes, sir!" 

"Drop the sir and just call me Ryuzaki. You remind me of a friend of mine who also wore glasses. Let's just say that we ended up invading a secret base on Russia once."

"You did?!"

"Maybe." He chuckled. "I'm not gonna lie, Ryuuga. We had alot of documents and forms sent over for the intership and alot of them were better than yours. But when I look at you, I remember of my younger self. A boy who can do anything he wants as long as he believes in it! Or whatever cheesy ass line they say in Boruto's Dad. What I'm saying is that I see potential in you. Potential to change the lives of people. And that is why I..."

His choice of words was weird but it didn't help the fact that they made my heart rate speed up alot. I think I may have a heart problem after I leave this officer. But why didn't he finish his sentence? I could see a grin in his face. Maybe this whole thing was a prank!

"You're nervous because I didn't finished my sentence, aren't you?"

"Y-yes, sir..."

"What did I said about calling me that? Ryuzaki works just fine. And what I was saying was that you have the potential to change the lives of people you meet. And that is why I..."

"Yes..?"

"Will help you on making your dream come true! But I'll need you to do a thing for me."

My eyes were filled with excitement. This was it. My dream was finally becoming a reality! "What is it?! I'll do anything, Ryuzaki!"

"I want you to go to high school and play a card game!"

"E-eh...? ....EH?!"

Welcome to another book of the CCEU! I already explained what the CCEU is on the description of the book so check it out.

This is the story of not only Ryuuga Sawada but also of Fujiko Abe, Emon Kiba and Hikaru Hata. Four teenagers who will all be lead to each other through a card game. And yes, the game is Yu Gi Oh.

It's not, I'm joking. It's Vanguard, it's in the name of the book.

This is a story that happens in the V-Series side of the CCEU, which is a bunch of years after the end of Z World, thus Ryuzaki being a grown man now and having his own company. You'll need to read the rest of the CCEU books in order to understand some references that will be in this book.

Thank you 8mefox for being the brudda who gave birth to the first story of the CCEU (Cray's Collapse) and to give birth to Z World. Without him, there would be no CCEU (although I was the one with the idea of making an extended universe). And he also makes sure that the grammar errors are minor.

Ryuzaki: I know. If it was, most of the cast would be dead by now. Wait, that's Cray's Collapse.
