Set 28 years after the end of "Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Z World", the story of Spiral Terra follows the life of Ryuuga Sawada, a young boy with the dream of traveling the world. In his quest to see every single bit of the world, he is lead to Ryuzaki...
"I'll show everyone my awesome power!" Ryuuga's dad shouted, getting up from his chair. "A blaze so strong that burns through destiny itself!" He placed his left foot on top of the chair. "And everyone will scream the name of the greatest fighter to ever be seen by their eyes! Now everyone, scream my name!" He threw his head back. "SHOUTOOOOOOO!"
Ryuuga, on the other end of the table, sweatdropped. "I'm not sure if you're supposed to scream your name during a ride chant..."
"Yeah, dad! Just ride the card already!" A young child on a couch near the table where Ryuuga and his were fighting said. His name was Izuru Sawada, age 12, and was Ryuuga's younger brother. He shared most of his father's traits, mainly the dark red hair and eyes with a lighter colour tone than Ryuuga's. "Just ride the big Overlord and end the game."
"Fine, fine." Shouto got his composure back together and sat down on his chair. "I ride Dragonic Overlord and obtain the Imaginary Gift of Force, which I give to the vanguard! Now burn, Spike Brothers!"
'I faced him in a ton of fights, I know how to dodge his strategy!' "Marylin, complete guard!"
"Not bad. Nehalem!"
"Double Brakki!"
"Not bad but I'm sure you didn't expected this! With the skill of Dragonic Gaias, a give a critical to the unit it boosts! Crested Dragon!"
'Crap, I didn't calculated this part!' "Damage check... That's game."
"The great Shouto wins again!" Shouto started laughing victoriously.
Ryuuga just shook his head and got up. "Izuru, pack my cards and put them in my room, okay? I'm off to see mom."
"Got it!" Izuru jumped off the couch andbrushed to the table.
"Take some money and bring mushrooms, I need them for dinner!" Shouto shouted to his son, who was already at the door.
"Don't worry, I need to go to the supermarket anyway! My hair dye is almost finished either way!" Ryuuga replied with his own shouts.
"He could just let his hair stay red like ours!" Izuru said happily once he heard the sound of a door being closed.
"If only, kiddo. If only."

Ryuuga knocked on the white hospital door. "It's me!"
"Come in!" A female voice replied from inside the room.
He took his usual deep breath and opened the door, stepping inside the room and leaving the door open behind him. The room was quite normal. A bed and a small bathroom on the right and a desk. There was also a window perfectly centered on the middle of the wall opposite to the door. Nearby the window, there was a bench and sitted on that bench, there was a woman with brown hair reaching her waist, eyes of the same shade of brown, white clothes the patients wore and a glasses similar to the ones Ryuuga used. "H-hi mom, sorry for being late, I-"
