Set 28 years after the end of "Cardfight!! Vanguard G: Z World", the story of Spiral Terra follows the life of Ryuuga Sawada, a young boy with the dream of traveling the world. In his quest to see every single bit of the world, he is lead to Ryuzaki...
Ryuuga stood in front of the school gates of Heiwa Academy, the school where he would be studying for the next three years. It wasn't the first time he was face to face with those gates but just like last time, his mind was clouded with the same feeling. 'This was a mistake, a mistake, a mistake, a mistake...' As if the anxiety caused by just being there wasn't enough, he could feel a gaze going through him.
"Do you stop being so nervous?" Hikaru asked, removing his gaze from Ryuuga and walking towards his friend. "Don't let the first day pressure get to you. Think about positive things." He slammed his hand on Ryuuga's back. "Now man up and let's get going!"
"B-but.."
"But?"
"I-i forgot something a-at home! I n-need to go get it!" Quickly, Ryuuga turned around and prepared to sprint away from the school gates as afst as possible. But, before he was able to even move, he was already being pulled into the school building by Hikaru.
"As your friend, my job is to help you survive high school and surpass your fears so let's go!"
"Have mercy on me..."

The two boys walked down the school hall of the second floor of the building, the floor where they would have most of their classes.
"So, got anyone you'd want in our class?" Hikaru ask, a sneaky smirk forming on his lips.
"W-well..." Ryuuga scratched the back on his neck. "T-there's this one g-girl..."
"Awww look at that, little Ryuuga has a girlfriend!"
Ryuuga turned red. "I-it's nothing l-like that! S-she's the o-one who taught me how to play V-vanguard!!"
"So she's a hot teacher?"
"N-no! She's the same age as us!!"
"Sheesh, relax man. I'm just messin' with ya." Hikaru said, slamming his hand against Ryuuga's back once again. "Y'know, I should stop doing this."
"You don't say..." Ryuuga shook his head and set his eyes on the door of their classroom. "This is the place." He grabbed the door and opened it bravely... But was frozen by his nervous self in a matter of seconds. "S-so many p-people..."
"Don't worry about it. Just go with the flow!" Hikaru said, pushing Ryuuga into the classrom. "See? Not that hard."
"Yeah yeah..." Ryuuga replied quietly, quickly finding his seat and sitting. 'This is going even worse than I thought...' He placed his head on the desk.
Hikaru looked at Ryuuga from his seat and sighed. "What else can I do?" He looked around at the other students. 'Nineteen, counting with me and Ryuuga. There should be twenty.' His ears caught the sound of the door being opened, causing him to quickly turn around and see whpo the last student was. 'Tall, somewhat blonde, small chest. Eh, we're in the same class as the Queen. This'll be fun.'
