#18: Aftermath

"So let's make this short and sweet." Ryuzaki explained, sitting behind his desk on his office. "Spiral Terra got to the finals with the cleanest winning streak of Group A and then lost because Royalty invaded through Group B. It was basically a stab on the back. That dumbass Hikaru wasn't even there, Fujiko had to deal with Aijou Fukai's overcofident mouth, Ryuuga had to fight with Ichigo Akio and Emon ended up by losing his friendship with Izuku Akira. All of their dreams of going to nationals were crushed and Emon and Fujiko ended up by leaving the Royalty of Heiwa. It was all basically a giant backstab. You need to make their spirits go up, you got that?"

In front of the desk was Payic, Maverick, Inu, Mina, Kamishiro, Fumiko, Shouto, Izuru, and Hikaru's aunt, Alice. All of them brought their right hand to their heart and nodded. "Got it, sir! What's the next step on Project Attermath?"

Ryuzaki smirked. "Kamishiro, close down Hage for the day and call Spiral Terra around seven. We are going to make a little cheering up party."

Leaving the nearest airport was a tall man dressed in some black pants with holes on the knees, formal shoes, a black button shirt with a red tie under a dark green trench coat. He had a goatee and his hair was long and dark red, tied into a nice bun. He reached for his coat's pocket, taking out a single cigar and placing it in his mouth. It was basically an electronic cigar so he didn't needed a lighter. He took a deep breath, looking at the buildings of the city. "What's good bitches, still breating?" He laughed at his own question and looked through his phone's picture gallery. "Now, time to find you." He said to the picture he had been searching for. The picture had him rubbing his fist on Ryuuga's head in a playfull manor while both of them were holding some Vanguard cards om their hands.

Ryuuga, Fujiko, Emon and Hikaru walked down the street, the four of them making their way to Hage. All of them were sharing an awkward silence moment ever since they got together about a hour ago. None of them wanted to say the wrong thing after all that had gone down on the regional tournament the day before. To break the awkward silence, Fujiko decided to ask the one thing that wouldn't end up with someone feeling bad about itself.

"So Hikaru, are you feeling better? You had to left because of a stomach ache, right?"

"Hm?" Hikaru perked his head up, looking at Fujiko. "Oh, yeah yeah. Totts feelin' all the good vibes on the world makin' me feel a-okay aighty, y'know?"

"That's great to hear!"

"Hell yeet it is!" Hikaru laughed at his own words before changing to a more serious face and stopping. "I have something I need to confess." His words made his teammates all turn to face him. 

'And here I tried so hard to avoid the awkward talks... Maybe the awkward silence was better...'

"I didn't really felt sick. I just came home because I didn't felt able to fight against the team we were fighting against. After losing to Deku temee so quickly, my self confidence just kept decreasing and decreasing so once I knew we were up against him and his team, all I could think about doing was leaving as sooner as possible. I'm sorry, my dudes and dudette."

Emon pat Hikaru's shoulder before letting a chuckle out. "It's okay. To be honest, it's also my fault. I asked Sawada to lose on purpose against Akio so that I could fight Akira myself. My greediness made our team lose."

"Well, not totally." Ryuuga added. "It's also my fault. I agreed with Emon's idea so I'm the one who's more to blame. If I hadn't agreed to it, who knows what could have happened. Maybe we wouldn't be here having this talk. We could be inside Hage celebra-" Ryuuga's words were suddenly cut off by a scream coming from Fujiko. The three Spiral Terra members turned to see what caused it and saw Fujiko facing the door of a closed Card Shop Hage.
