College Dreaming
Chapter 31*Trey's POV*
I walk in my dorm at 7am. How the hell did we gather up at 10pm and I'm just getting home? I place the key in the lock, unlock the door, and head straight for the bed. I lay my head on the pillow and rest my nerves.
"Long night?" My roommate Marcus asks
"You don't even know the half."
Last night was brutal. First we were in that damn push up position for a whole hour, then Big Brother Zeke came back and beat each of us because James dumbass forgot his hoodie, and then we had more shit we had to learn before we cross. I look at the clock and it's 7:04. I have to get ready for class in an hour. I roll my eyes at the sight of the clock and turn over. I'm really thinking about skipping that class and attending the "make up" class tonight.
"Man he probably might call us tonight."
I swallow my pride and catch a quick nap before my English class.
"Yo I'm headed out Trey."
I throw my hand in the air and Marcus leaves the room. Before I know it, I fall asleep.
*Chris's POV*
:OMG, so what happened on your trip? You've been back for a while and didn't tell me anything." Myra says
"Yes I did, I told you where we went and everything we did."
"So explain that ring on your finger."
I look down at my finger and stare at the ring Kamaal gave me.
"Oh Kamaal gave it to me on our anniversary when we had dinner on the beach"
"Awww that's so sweet. Wait...he didn't-"
"Whoaaaaa, slow your roll. We are not ready for that yet. It's just a promise ring."
"Oh. Well if he proposes, then I wanna help plan the wedding."
"As long as you know you are, cause I'm not doing none of that shit."
"No sir. You're gonna have some type of input on this."
As Myra and I continue laughing, I couldn't help but think about that text message I saw in Kamaal's phone a month ago from that Jeremy guy.
:Oh lord, what's on your mind now?'
"Huh? Nothing at all, why?"
"It's a shame that I know you so well that you can't get anything past me. That shit may work on Kamaal, so what's wrong?" Myra asks as she laughs
"Well the day we were leaving, Kamaal's text message alert went off three times."
"Ok and?"
"Let me finish. He was in the bathroom when this was going on. I went over to his phone cause I was curious to see who it was. I hesitated because I didn't wanna be one of "those boyfriends"
"True, I see what you mean. So what did you do? Did you read it?"
"I didn't when I wanted to, but Kamaal told me to see who it was."
"That's a good thing!!! That shows that he has nothing to hide."
"I guess, but when I saw the message it was from this guy named Jeremy."
"Well what did it say?" Myra asks
I take a deep breath because thinking about what that message said just pisses me off, especially the way it was worded.
