College Dreaming
Chapter 33

*Kamaal's POV*

I stop walkin and sit on a picnic table. I look at the time and notice I've been walkin for an hour. Right now I'm on the other side of campus. I turn up the music in my earphones and lay my head in my lap. All I can think about is Chris. Since we've been together, we never argue. We may disagree on something, but we either kiss or fuck and make up. I think about the future and all I can see is Chris in it. I love my lil buddy and hate seein him upset. I gotta go back over there and make it right with him, whether he wants to talk or not.

*Chris's POV*

I walk back to my dorm basically feeling a little defeat. I ran Kamaal off just because I was in my feelings, and Trey had something to take care of. I don't know what's going on, but Trey has been acting a little weird lately. That's beside the point. I lay back down on my bed and stare at the ceiling for a while. I roll over on top of my phone and At Your best by already Aaliyah plays. I jump up and turn my phone down because it was so loud. I lay back down and think about Kamaal as the song keeps playing. I know I was wrong for yelling at him like that. I should've opened the door when he was trying to make things right with me. I think about how everything could've been avoided if I dropped everything and took him up on him offer to go over to his dorm. I have to talk to him now. I look out the window and it looks like it's about to pour down. I rush out the door in high hopes that I find Kamaal and not get caught in the rain.

*Kamaal's POV*

I make it halfway to Chris's dorm. I feel the small raindrops hit my arm. I look at the sky and it's full of dark clouds. I walk a little faster. I'm not tryin to get caught in the rain, cause it looks like it's about to pour down. After 5 minutes of walkin, the rain starts comin down.

"Shit!"

*Chris's POV*

What starts out as a few small raindrops, turns into this nasty shower. At this point I'm almost soaked, and I still haven't found Kamaal. What should I do? Is this the part where I just turn around, go back home, and just call him? As I stand there debating on what I should do, I decide to keep going. I'm already halfway there so why stop now? I swear, love will make you do some crazy things. I have no idea where Kamaal could be. With a campus this big, he could be anywhere. I place my hands on top of my head and give up my search. It's pouring and I know I'm not gonna find him today. I throw my hands in the air, turn around, and prepare for my walk home with tears flowing from my face. As I'm walking, I hear someone call my name.
I can't see who it is because I'm blinded by tears and rain. I turn back around and continue walking until I hear my name being called again.

*Kamaal's POV*

The rain falls hard a as it drops on my skin. Here I am, walking in this bad weather just so I can find Chris. I'm almost there but at this point, I feel like its not even worth it. Maybe I'll just head back to my dorm and give him a call, and hope he answers this time. As I turn back around to go back to my dorm, something in me just told me to turn around. As soon as I turn around, I see someone looking around with their hands on their head. Could that be Chris? Nah, it can't be. Chris is back at his dorm. There's no way in hell that could be him.

"CHHRRIISSS!!!!"

I see the person turn around. I got a clear view of his face, and it was Chris. Chris looks around and then walks in the other direction.

"Chhhrriss!!!"

I run toward him, and turn him around. I look him in his eyes, and see they are red from crying.

"Baby I'm-"

I put my finger on lips and hold his waist with my other hand.

"Ssshhh....don't say anything."
