Blonde Ivory are going to meet a manager today to see if he wants to sign them. And not just some manager either... Mark Millan, the Astro Records manager for Firelight Moon, you've probably heard of him. And if you haven't...
I don't even know what to say... Honestly, how did you even stumble onto my blog?
He is known for taking small bands with little following and turning them into something huge. The problem is that Blonde Ivory is not exactly 'a band with little following'. I mean, Macha Levay-Fitzgilbert (BI Bassist and my QUEEN) has 1.1 million followers on Twitter alone. She isn't even the popular one in the band!
My own personal theory is that he takes small bands because nobody knows how they were before the ole fame bug or what they did in their pasts. Blonde Ivory, as you may or may not know, has been on tour with Firelight Moon. Their secrets are pretty much common knowledge in this fandom.
Yes, I did just say 'fandom'. If you see me out in public, you do have my permission to kick me in the balls over it.
My point is: We already know of all the embarrassing things they've done. We already all the mistakes they've made in their past. There's not much that this Mark guy can hide. I can't be the only Blonde Ivory fan who is concerned that this may prove to be a problem.
That is why I'm updating my blog with this post. As the non-worrier one of the many fan accounts BI has, it's kind of my duty to reassure everyone that everything is going to be okay and that BI is totally going to get signed onto a record label... But I can't lie to you guys... I'm not so sure that they're even the kind of band that this manager will like.
He's been known to sign all-male boybands.
Not to point out the obvious like that one interviewer (I will NOT name any names *wink*) who explained how to play 'Never Have I Ever' to Hayden for 20 minutes, BI is definitely not that... They're an indie band made up of four girls from different backgrounds.
Hardly comparable to Firelight Moon who only has one token brown and LGBTQIA+ guy, and he's a dick sometimes. Sorry Alfonso fans... He's a dick, especially to Kasey.
The only thing that they bring to the table is that their album will be guaranteed to sell (of course, this is just from a manager viewpoint). Thankfully for them and my ears, they have a talented lead singer--Shiloh-- and a songwriter/guitarist who knows the issues of a teenage crowd-- Hayden Sterling.
I won't mention Macha despite the fact that she's a goddess.
That actually brings me to another foreseeable problem...
They bring a lot, and I do mean a lot, of history to this signing. It's common knowledge that Macha and Hayden used to date. It's also common knowledge that they had to break up because she tried to kill herself in London a few months ago.
I'm sure Mark knows of all these things. He most likely isn't going to be happy with the fact that the guitarist of Blonde Ivory was the girl who tried to kill herself whilst on tour with Firelight Moon which almost resulted in the cancelation of the rest of the concerts. Not blaming Hayden, of course.
She's been through a tough time. (Not going to disclose anything because that's her personal information and I don't want to be a triggering source to any of you guys with similar issues) I can't blame her for being depressed, or trying to kill herself, or shattering my heart and many other fans' hearts into pieces whenever she was hospitalized for three days from the severity of her injuries.
However, I feel like I know these girls like the back of my hand. I've seen and every single interview, watched every single music video, not to mention the countless compilations on YouTube of them doing weird stuff like Macha snorting salt through her nose and then passing out from laughing so hard... I'm getting sidetracked.
What I'm saying is, I know these girls. At least how they perceive themselves to the public, and what Hayden has perceived is that she's way too hard on herself. If Mark doesn't sign Blonde Ivory, there's not a doubt in my mind that she is going to blame herself.
(*Source of Hayden's Sensitivity* That one interview given by @ShimmyVero on The Shimmy Vero show, where she was voted most sensitive and the most likely to take things to heart. Of course, it was played off as a joke and that she was just a big ole softie, but there clearly was some truth to that statement.)

In other news... It's stormy in Panama right now. It's foggy and it's chilly and I want to go back to bed. I can't... Because they have the stupid thing with Mark.
Not to mention the piles upon piles of homework I have. If any of you see me in public, not only do you have permission to kick me in the balls, but you can also shoot me. Kidding, all I have to do is hold hands with my boyfriend and some bigot will do it for shits and giggles.
Gosh, guys, try as I might to distract myself with scary homophobia, I genuinely can't take my mind off this whole signing thing. This is going to make or break their band. This could be their record deal for Pete's Sake. This could be the contract that gets them set for life in the music business.
You guys know that I love nothing more than giving you guys the updates of my favorite band especially the updates of Macha. This could be the guarantee they bring us more albums, more professional music videos, and most importantly, THEIR OWN CONCERTS!
Italy, by the way, has the hottest babes. Spain is the close second. Sorry for the objectification, but I mean come on. Have you guys seen the Italian people that go to their shows??? Absolutely stunning.
Anyway, guys, I must sign off and continue waiting for the news on this meeting. I'll update as soon as I see the result. Or you guys can catch it on twitter. Don't forget to follow all the girls! Especially Macha because she's the one most likely to tweet about it! (We all remember how Firelight Moon's last single got leaked)
