Shiloh Levitsky (Lead Singer of Blonde Ivory)

I adjust my collared shirt in the mirror, and turn my body in different directions so I can see what I look like in all angles. A light knock raps on my door, and I turn away from the mirror to see who the person wanting entrance. I see the mop of Sangria-colored hair belonging to Sodom as she leans her head up against my door frame.

"How is that you look more like a lawyer now that you're a singer with a record deal than you did when you were considering law school?" She asks. I do not answer her right away, and she belts out a light laugh to show me she was teasing me.

I roll my eyes and turn back to face my mirror. I smooth the white, button-up shirt down even though there are no visible wrinkles. Sodom takes the fact that my door was open to mean that there is a free-for-all invitation and happily sits down on my bed behind me. She rakes some of her hair behind her ears as she clears her throat.

"This is a dinner that Taelyn is going to be at, and you think dressing like showing skin is illegal is going to get his attention?" I shrug my shoulders.

She bites her thumb, and I stare at her in the mirror for a few seconds before I grab my emerald green tie hanging from the mirror. It doesn't take me long to do the basic, half-Windsor knot, mainly because I was practically taught how to do it at birth. This is the knot my father does every day.

I, then, grab the heather gray sweater vest from beside Sodom on my bed. I slip it over my head and pull it down over my chest. As I pull my hair out from under it, I admire how scholarly I look in the mirror.

"Shiloh, baby, you can't seriously want to wear that to a dinner... You look like someone who has a dry vagina with teeth." I roll my eyes and turn to face her.

She pouts and clasps her hands together. "Please... Don't go in that," she begs. I snort and sit down beside her.

"Why not? I feel comfortable in this. When I was in a fake relationship with Taelyn, Mark told us what to wear. I could never wear anything like this." She narrows her eyes.

"Yeah, clearly for good reason. You look like a British schoolgirl." She places her hand on my knee, "For the greater good... Please change that outfit. Wear a sexy black dress or something." I shake my head and move out of her grip. I stand from the bed and walk back up to the mirror.

I think wearing this is rather refreshing. This is how I always used to dress back in school. It is almost relieving to be back in this attire. It is as if I am back to living a normal life with normal consequences.

"I know you think I should care about my appearance for Taelyn, but him and I have already have already discussed our relationship. Assuming either of us have a relationship with each other, it will be on relatively friendly terms." She nods slowly as I adjust the tie underneath my sweater.

She stands and walks over to my side. "Well, if you two were together, would you still choose to dress like this or would you choose to look desirable?" She adjusts my collar in the back.

"I think I would still wear this. Comfort over sexuality," I say. She rolls her eyes, takes a step back, and crosses her arms to her chest.

"You are truly one of the most disappointing people I have ever met," she scoffs, "... so much potential, and you still choose to be a failure in the world of femininity." I roll my eyes and turn to face her.

She fake smiles, as if she did not just insult me. "Can you get out now please? I feel like I have a short-temper today, and I would prefer to not snap at you." Her face falls.

"Okay, Papa Junior," she mocks. Before I can say anything else, she walks out of my room and shuts the door behind her.

I turn back to myself in the mirror. It is perfect for a dinner. I wonder what the others will choose to wear. I smooth my hands along each individual fabric one last time before I walk downstairs. The living room and hallway are empty, but I hear a soft, clinking noise coming from the kitchen. The sounds of my footsteps against the ground are the loudest thing in the house.
