Good evening, fellow BI fans, how are you guys handling the news? I hope you're all doing well. I hope that you all can look at the mistakes that were made and that we can all learn to forgive and forget and that you all decide to share love instead of hatred.
I was shocked at first when I heard about it. I had been at my classes all day and unable to check my phone and then when I got home I realized I had hundreds of notifications from you guys commenting on this site asking me to do an entry on what's happened. In my head, I was like "hmmm could this be tea?" But no. Don't get me wrong. It IS tea. I'm just not too sure I like sipping tea when it's about my favorite people and my most influential role models.
I also considered not even making a post about this. For a few hours, I went through phases and the only thing I could think about was that I didn't want to spread this around more. I didn't want to make this a drama site. I wanted this site to be an easy, accessible way for BI fans to see and catch up on news about not only the music and tour but also the girls themselves.
Yet... Here I am. You're probably thinking, 'Memmy, please get on with it so I can see your opinion and decide if it validates my own'. I will in a second. I just want to first apologize to everyone out there who has been hurt by what's happened. I know the girls (and boys of Firelight Moon) have shared their own apologies on their social media, but I want to do it as well.
Let's get on with it... The dark days are among us, fellow BI fans... Will you be able to handle it?
I do want to keep this organized by date so you guys can see the correct timeline and what led to what... Yes, I did do my research. You're welcome.
1) What started the drama was that two songs were released. Both of them written by Hayden... One was a love song and had been co-written by Shiloh. It started the most drama for the most people because her relationship with Taelyn hasn't been getting the best feedback.
People have been accusing them of being fake and others have been accusing him of being a pedophile. This is due in part to the fact that Shiloh only turned eighteen a few months ago. Some fans don't think it's right for Taelyn to subject Shiloh to his aesthetic on instagram which I've discovered is just a bunch of vulnerable, naked-like pictures.
I don't think calling Taelyn a pedophile is the correct response. Shiloh is the oldest of the girls and she is the most mature, in my opinion. Besides, she is eighteen. She is able to make her own decisions. I think that if she really didn't want to be in those pictures that she wouldn't choose to be.
The other song was written entirely by Hayden... Which is... Kind of terrifying... For all of us. If you haven't heard it, it's the song called, Languid. It's quite an interesting song, in my opinion. As you all know, we've never heard Hayden sing on a track... Until now and she went all in.
She was the only vocalist on this track. Her voice has a very languid feel to it which is another reason I guess they named it that. It was tired, strained, yet somehow relaxed and mellow. It was the voice you hear in your dreams- only the words were saddening and bittersweet. It was a goodbye and a farewell to pain of the past while also a promise to yourself that there will be a tomorrow.
I have to be honest... The first time I heard it, my heart clenched and my stomach tightened at her words. I cried for a good ten minutes. It truly touched my soul. It was if I had gone through so many hard times and couldn't hold myself up anymore, and then Hayden came around and told me that yes... Things suck right now, but once you've hit rock bottom, you can't go further down. You can only go up.
That was a message that I didn't think I needed. I'm pretty sure it was the message that many people didn't know they needed- that's why it shocked everyone. My opinion lies solely embedded with the fans who say that Hayden worked miracles with that song and she truly is an inspirational person.
