I woke up and it was 7am. I went on my phone for a little bit before I got up out of bed, ready to get breakfast ready.

I got dressed and realised how messy the room was so I wanted to clean up. Calum and Isabelle were coming over, and were bringing their kids. One of them, Josh is the same age as Emily and they really like each other. Calum and I have been trying to set it up for a while, but every time the kids realise what we're up to, they shut it down.

Maybe we should just let it happen?

Calum and his family know what's been going on here and so to Michael's family and Ashton's. All of the boys know, and their wives, Isabelle, Crystal and Zöe too.

They've been great support for Emily. Especially Crystal. I don't know what it is, but Emily just gets on best with Crystal. She loves Isabelle and Zöe but there's just something about Crystal that makes them closer.

Emily and I ate breakfast together before we cleaned up a little bit.

As I was cleaning Y/n and I's room, I came across something that put a smile on my face. It was an old Led Zeppelin shirt that Y/n wore one of the days when we were younger. We had been dating a couple of months, and I had just met her parents. They were a little disapproving at first because they found out I was in a band, but you know, we got married and had a beautiful baby girl so clearly they warmed up, but it took them a while.

One day Y/n got so fed up of them making comments about me. They were horrible, from what Y/n told me what they said. Some things she didn't want to repeat. But anyway, one day, she got so upset that she ran away in one of my shirts. No one knew where she was. Neither did I. I had no idea she had gone until the next day, when her parents called mine to say that she ran away during the night and that a bag was gone.

I suddenly went into panic mode and called her phone. In the end, we found her. She didn't actually go that far. But I was the one who found her. And then after that her parents kind of warmed up to me....kind of.

But back then we were told things, such as were too young and too dumb to know what things like love are. But as I grew with Y/n, and as our relationship grew, I can safely say that I definitely know better now than I did before.

I finished cleaning up and Calum and Isabelle arrived moments later. We all greeted them. I saw Josh go up to Emily and not give her a chance to say Hello, he just hugged her, tight around the waist, and Emily put her arms around his neck, her head buried there. I smiled. Thank God they're so close. I don't know what she'd do if she didn't have him.

Later on that day, Calum and I were in the kitchen while the kids were playing outside and Isabelle was watching them. "Its probably a sensitive topic, but um, any luck with Y/n?" Calum asked, taking some food from various plates I had layed out.

"No, man. I wake up and go to bed by myself everyday." I shrugged. "I mean it's not fair. Emily needs her mother. Isabelle, Crystal and Zöe can't just replace her." I said, running my hands through my hair. "I need to see Y/n. I have not seen or touched her or anything. She's just like a ghost around the house." I said, getting frustrated.

"Maybe stay up tonight and see when she comes home?" Calum suggested. "That's actually a good idea. Thanks man." I said. "No worries mate."

The kids played around more when I saw Emily and Josh on the bench swing together, she rested her head on his shoulder and he had his arm resting behind her head. Calum and I walked out and I walked over to them. Josh noticed and put the hand that was behind her head on her leg, resting it there for a few seconds before getting up and leaving us to talk.

"Emmy how do you feel about seeing your mom again?" I asked. "How? She's never home." Emily answered, genuinely confused.

"Well Calum gave me this idea, how about we just stay up tonight and wait for her to come home." I said. "Okay." She nodded. "You're not really sure about this are you?" I asked, noticing her demeanour changed.

"I don't know I mean will mom want to see us "hunt her down"?" Emily asked. "I don't know. But I know you need to see your mom. You've been lacking in that, you're a teenage girl. You need your partner in crime for shopping because let's face it, I'm a nightmare to shop with." I said, making her laugh.

"Okay. Let's do it." She said, and I gave her a side hug. I got up and walked back to where Josh and Calum were standing talking. "Hey." They said.
"She's open to the idea. We'll do it tonight. The sooner the better. Hey, Josh. I need you to be there for her. She only has her father right now, but I need you to be there for her too, Okay? Be it as a friend or a boyfriend." I winked at the last word, making him blush. "Just tell her. She feels the same way I promise you." I said. I wouldn't push a lot of guys to be with my daughter but Josh is an amazing kid and deserves to be with her. I know he'll take care of her. He's just like his dad.

Emily's POV

I saw Dad walk back to Josh and Calum, and they made Josh blush from what it looked like. Then he started walking towards me, and he looked like he had something he needed to get off his chest. His nervousness was so cute. It was one of the things I loved about him.

"Hey. Everything Okay?" I asked. "Yeah. Can I talk to you for a second?" He asked. "Sure." I said, patting the seat beside me. "Not here." He reached down and took my hand, making a swarm of butterflies start flying inside me. I liked this feeling of holding his hand.

He lead me into the house, and turned around to face me when we walked into the kitchen.

"Listen. I know it's a tough time right now but I want you to know that I want to be there for you." He said suddenly, looking at me with those gorgeous brown eyes.

"I know you're there for me." I said, chuckling a little bit. Where was this going? "I need you to know this because I love you." He said. "Yeah, I love you too." I answered, thinking he meant as a friend. "No Emily. I mean. I. Love. You." He said slower, and my eyes widened. I didn't know what to say.

"You what um, forget what I said.." He trailed off, scratching the back of his neck and exiting the kitchen. I stood there for a moment and processed what he said before chasing him to finish that conversation. He was making his way to the back garden, damnit I didn't want to do this in front of the rest of them but I guess I had to.

I ran to catch up, and I could feel Dad's and Calum's stares. "Josh wait." I said, reaching forward. "What?" He asked but I had pulled him closer to me, making his lips crash with mine. My hand let go of his arm and snaked around his neck as his went around my waist as he kissed back. Believe it or not that was my first ever kiss. And it was pretty good.

I pulled away, our foreheads resting on each other. "You ran off. I just had to process how awesome the news was. You didn't give me the chance to tell you that I love you too." I said. His grip around my waist tightened as he picked me up, spinning me around as my arms stayed around his neck.

Luke's POV

Calum and I watched in endearment at the moment that happened before our eyes. I looked over at Calum and he was smiling. I was smiling too.

"He finally did it." Calum said proudly. "Yeah. I think she's been waiting for him to tell her. She hoped he would." I said to him.

We all ordered food later to the house and then Calum and his family were heading home. "Thanks for coming. You're always welcome back." I said hugging him. "You guys should come to us. And I mean all of you. You guys haven't visited in a while." Calum said and I knew what he was talking about. Ever since Y/n fell out of love with life, we haven't visited them. They've always come to us.

"I hope you can catch her tonight." Calum said to me after I said goodbye to him and his family. "Me too man. See you soon." I answered, and he nodded silently and then closed the door behind him.

I leaned my back against the door, resting my head back too and sighed.

"Dad do you think we can catch mom tonight? I mean it's a good idea but what if Calum's wrong? What if tonight she decided not to come back and then we assume the same tomorrow but she does come back and we don't know? What are we going to do then?" Emily asked, and panic was evident in her voice. "Emily we'll get her back. She'll be back tonight. I know it." I said. But the truth is, I didn't know. I had no idea.

Maybe Emily had a point. I guess we're finding out tonight.
