"Good Morning!" A familiar voice said once again. It was Aki, Ivel knew it. She stood outside the door, saying.
Ivel opened the door, rolling his eyes. "Would you seriously stop coming at my door every morning?!"
It was the first time he had seen her face. It was also the first time he had opened the door to Aki. He had grown fond of her morning greetings somehow but he still convinced himself that he was annoyed. He forced a small blush down his face upon seeing the Aki's face. She didn't look like any other girls. They wouldn't categorize her beautiful or cute. It made no sense but Ivel found her, attracting. She was not like most girls.
"My name is Aki, what's yours?" Aki said, taking off her shoes before entering his house. Ivel liked the fact that she was clean. She didn't wear her shoes or socks in like most people do which was why he would shut everyone out.
"Ivel." He replied, closing the door shut behind him.
Aki took a seat of the sofa, glancing up at Ivel who sat on a chair with his legs on the table.
"What do you want?" Ivel glared at Aki after awhile of silence. She had been greeting him every morning at his door, convincing him to open it.
"To be friends!" Aki said with a big warm smile on her face.
That was how their friendship started. How it all started.

"Oi Erwin. Tea tonight?" Ivel glanced over at Erwin, who finally looked up from his paper work.
"Just us?" Erwin asked, standing from his seat, stretching his sore muscles from not moving for too long.
"Mhm. Hanji, Mike and Levi." Was all he said before going mute again. Erwin sighed, walking out of the room, leaving Ivel there. Ivel had been mute for the whole day, he hadn't spoke a word to Erwin before just now. No matter how much Erwin questioned, spoke, he wouldn't say a thing. From the looks of it, he's skipping dinner as well.
"Levi, Hanji, Mike. Tonight?" Erwin mumbled, packing a packet of food before leaving the hall. Despite the short words, they all understood his instructions.
"Ivel, have some food at least." Erwin said, placing the food on Ivel's stomach. He was sitting on his usual chair, his feet tangling on the edge of the chair. It was his favourite food they had in the survey corps.
He glanced over at Erwin before continuing with his book. The food was still hot, that was why. By the time he diminished munching on the food, it was already late night.
Erwin had already left the room early to get some sleep. Ivel didn't needed sleep, he spent his time reading the book and eating. He looked outside the window, finally getting off the chair. The stars were covered by dark clouds, even the moon. It was an empty dark sky tonight.
He sighed, leaving the room. Every step he took, echoed along the corridors. His footsteps taped on the ground as he slowly walked down the spiral staircase hidden behind a painting in Levi's room. It was a place for their meeting. It had been there for as long as they knew.
"Ivel, you're late." Hanji said in a jokingly tone.
"Tch." Ivel rolled his eyes, leaning against the wall with his hands crossed. The rest were already seated in front on him, there was a seat left for him but he decided not to sit. He had already been seated long enough that day.
"So, why are we here?" Mike said, sniffing a few times.
Ivel looked down at the ground, his eyes not moving, his breathing quickened slightly along with his heartbeat. He clenched his fist and his teeth.
"Ivel...?" Erwin said softly, standing up from his seat, walking over to see if Ivel was alright. He had been acting weirdly the whole day. But Erwin couldn't reach him in time.
He threw his fist at the wall, not with too much strength but it made a bang that echoed inside the room.
"All I've been doing, all we've been doing was gliding around, killing humans." He said, his eyes glaring at the opposite wall. Everyone stared at him, confused by his statement.
"...what do you mean?" Erwin mumbled, his face was blank.
"That shitty organisation makes titans by injecting some chemical in humans. Their goal is to eliminate humanity and all we've been is playing in their palms." Ivel said all in one breath, dropping himself on a chair beside Levi.
"What do we do now? We're not trained to fight humans." Mike said, sniffing a few times. Hanji sat on her seat, her face completely blank. She just couldn't give in to the fact that titans were made from humans.
"We play in their palms." Levi finally spoke, earning confused looks from Erwin and Mike.
"Precisely." Ivel replied, resting his arms on the table.
Erwin could only look at them, trying to comprehend their thoughts. They said Erwin had a sharp mind but in his opinion, when it comes to these kind of secret attacks, Ivel and Levi were on a whole other level.
"Wouldn't you need to report this to them? It'll immediately blow your cover." Mike said, sniffing again.
"The moment you stepped into this room, you were already made part of
The Wings of Freedom. We're just spies in the Survey Corps for this organisation with a higher ranking. None of this information belong to the Surgery Corps. There is no agreement saying I need to report it in."Hanji blinked twice or even thrice. "That's amazing..."
"So from here on out, we're meeting every night if necessary. You have to trust me with everything you've got or this won't work out. Too bad for you, I've chosen you now you don't have the option of op out." Ivel said with his blank face and his detached voice.
"I have to speak with you, Levi." Ivel said, leaving the room. Levi stood from his chair, walking off closely behind Ivel, leaving the three of them behind.
"Are you sure about this Erwin? He's spying for the Yoru. How sure are you that he hasn't betrayed us already?" Mike burst out as soon as Ivel and Levi left.
"I trust him with all my heart. From what I know, there's only so little, almost impossible chance that he will do that." Erwin replied, looking determined and sure. It was undoubtedly another bet but he was sure he'd be winning this one.
"He is strong, but he's more heartless than anyone of us." Hanji sighed, stating casually.
"Perhaps there was a time he was like that, but I highly doubt him of that right now." Erwin answered, this time, less determined from before but still as sure.
It was complete silence before they decided leave to hear to bed. Ivel and Levi surprisingly never returned to the room, they went off and didn't return until early morning.
