So this was originally a separate story, but it's a little too short for a short story so I made it free verse and put it in 'Poems'.

I hope you like it, I just kind of came up with it one night. It's not the best, as you could tell it was a story I wrote for fun. Anyway, I don't really have much else to say, so,

Thanks for Reading!

There once was a girl named Grace.

And there was a girl named Jane.

Jane is Grace's best friend, and

Grace is Jane's best friend.

One night Grace went to sleep.

In the morning she didn't wake up.

Her parents yelled at her and shook her,

But their efforts failed.

Grace would not wake up.

The family hurried to the hospital,

Desparate for medical attention.

When the doctor cameback with his analysis,

He told them she was in a coma.

The family wept and told eveyone they knew.

Hoping,

Just Hoping,

Grace would wake up.

Everyone was upset, but none more than Jane,

For she was closest to Grace, and tried her best to hide her pain.

Grace's family came.

Grace's friends came.

Grace's uncles', aunts', and neighbors came.

At a point the news wanted to make a story,

But they shooed them away.

This was a private matter,

Just for Grace.

A year or so passed, and the family still hoped.

When lo and behold, she finally awoke.

But all was not as it seemed.

For all had feared.

Amnesia had overtaken Grace.

Her friends were strangers,

Family as well.

Poor ol' Jane was a stranger as well.

A month or two passed and nothing had returned,

But one night Grace went to sleep

And then in the morning she remembered everything.

From the way she acted to the things she liked,

From her family and friends to her yellow and pink bike.

Grace also remembered her sweet friend Jane

Who never once lost hope.

She knew they would be together again.
