This is a speech I had to do for Speech class and thought I should upload it. It is a speech so, it's free verse.

Anyway, enjoy!

So, I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to do graffiti.

It sounds kind of stupid now, not to mention illegal, but it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

I didn’t want to be in Speech class, still don’t, I wanted to be in Art because I like to draw and it keeps my mind of things when I do.

Now if I go back to my original topic graffiti, I have to say I wanted to do street art or at least try it out.

I think it would be amazing to have a huge blank canvas with endless possibilities.

To be honest I actually wouldn’t know the first thing to draw, nor comprehend that I had the opportunity to even stand there in front of something waiting for me to create wonders.

I researched a little bit and found some people that, through graffiti, tried to convey emotions and personal experiences through their drawings, and they pretty much succeeded.

One person I’m going to tell you about is Banksy, of course this is just his pen name.

Banksy didn’t have the cleanest slate, he started doing graffiti to try and get that away from that side of him.

He was part of many hoaxes and fake money scams, you would think since he did graffiti it wouldn’t be that great, just something sloppy you’d find randomly on the side of the street.

Bansky drew something you’d stop and stare at wondering why they didn’t do it on a canvas to last forever.

He painted something that made you think what was he trying to say?

What was he thinking when he drawing it?

That’s why I always wanted to do graffiti, because I want to get that feeling.

I want other people to feel that way about something I draw.
