NOBODY'S P.O.V

Everybody in the car was silent. Dan fiddled with the hem of his sleeves, and Cat was reading articles on her phone. Phil drove quickly, and quietly.

Dan's mind didn't want to shut up.

You always get into trouble

Dan shook his head slightly, shutting his eyes and forming a fist. He rested his head on the window, and he crossed his legs. Left over the right. He didn't want to think, he just wanted to forget about everything. He wanted his mother to hold him and to tell him that everything is okay.

Cat looked at Dan through through the mirror and frowned.

"It's too silent." She says as she reaches over Phil to turn on the radio. Cat got back in her seat and smiled as one of her favorite songs played.

Dan thankfully lost his dark train of thought and began listening to the music. He tapped his finger on the door of the car and looked over at Phil. He loved being with him.

Dan enjoyed being able to hang out with him almost all of the time, and being in his arms. He enjoyed the fact that he can call Phil his, his boyfriend. Cuddling him made him happier, hearing Phil's name made him smile. The sight of Phil just made Dan so happy. He didn't want to lose any of that.

"What are you looking at?" Phil said while looking at Dan. Dan blinked, his cheeks turning red. He turned his head and looked out the window. Phil chuckled and continued to drive.

A few minutes later, they arrived at Phil's house. Ben jumped onto Phil and started to laugh. "I missed you!" Phil took Ben into his arms and hugged him softly. "I've only been gone for a day you worm." Ben giggled and rested his head on Phil's shoulder.

"Looks like you're home early." Phil's mum says while tapping her foot on the ground. She was wearing a pink t-shirt with her hair tied up into a bun. Her arms were crossed over her chest, and she glared at Cat and Dan. "You've also brought guests?" Anger filled her voice.

She walked over to Dan, and gave him a small hug. "At least you're safe. You and Phil have been all over the news!" Dan chuckled, and hid behind Cat.

Cat smiled at Phil's mother and said hello. "Yeah, we saw it." She says attempting to drop the conversation. She knew it made Dan feel uncomfortable.

Phil put his younger brother down, and began walking upstairs into his room. Dan and Cat followed behind, waving at Ben. They all entered the room, and Phil closed the door behind him.

"Can we talk about what happened now?" Cat said annoyed with her arms crossed over her chest. She rolled her eyes and plopped down on the end of Phil's bed. Dan sat next to Cat looking over at Phil. "Sure."

Phil sat on the only empty space left on his blue and green patterned bed and looked over at Cat. "Well is someone going to explain this to me?"

The room was silent. The three teens starred blankly at each other creating an awkward triangle filled with tension. Dan played with his gray-stained shoelaces not wanting to speak.

"Dan, am I allowed to tell her?" Phil said grabbing Dan's hand off guard. Dan only blinked, and looked back down at his shoe. "Baby you know it's not fair that she doesn't know anything. She's confused." Still silence. Phil stood up and lifted Dan's head, so their eyes would connect.

"Listen, you can play with Ben downstairs and I'll tell her everything. I know you don't like hearing it because it reminds you of bad memories." Dan nodded, and walked passed Phil. He walked down the steps looking for Phil's caring smaller brother.
