Imagine that you are a guard at one of the Pheonix Foundation's small bases where Murdoc requested to see his son before he gets sent back tprison and well, everyone knows that Murdoc always finds a way to escape.

Here's a new fanfic of Murdoc lolz. I like how this whole thing is supposed to be multifandom but I just do fanfics of Murdoc cause he's my fav aha. Anyways this is basically the scene where him and Cassian reunited but you're there too.

You yawned from boredom.

Just one more hour until your shift was over and you would finally be able to go home.

You were a security guard who worked at one of the Phoenix Foundation's bases.

Your job was very boring. All you did was just walk around and make sure nothing suspicious was happening. Everything was always fine so there was nothing much to do.

Today you were told to stand outside a certain room because the Pheonix Foundation was finally able to apprehend a wanted assassin named Murdoc and apparently he saved Angus MacGyver's life so he wanted to have a few minutes with his son before he would be sent back to prison.

You were supposed to guard the room where they would meet and make sure everything went smoothly.

You walked over to the door to the room and stood right outside.

There was a large window, probably so you could see what was happening inside just for safety measures.

You peeked through the window and saw that a small boy, who looked around between six to eight years old, was sitting at a table and was coloring.

This must be Murdoc's son.

You found it amusing that Murdoc, a murderous psychopath who you heard had tried to kill Angus MacGyver several times, would rather see his son than to finally kill Angus.

You stepped back from the window and leaned on the wall.

A few minutes later, you heard footsteps that headed towards you. You looked up and saw one of the detectives and Murdoc who was walking in front of him.

You opened the door to the room to let him in to see his son.

He gave you a small and quick glance. His expression was unreadable.

He stepped inside and you closed the door behind him.

You and the detective carefully watched from the large window as the father and son reunited.

There were microphones inside the room so you could hear their conversation. It was just the stuff you would hear any father say to their child.

You quickly got bored and stepped away. You went back to leaning on the wall. You tiredly closed your eyes.

Just one more hour and than you could go home.

You heard the door opening but you didn't really care and kept your eyes closed because it was just Murdoc stepping out and now he would be taken back to prison.

You heard a few footsteps and then heard the detective grunt, which was then followed by the sound of him gurgling and coughing.

You quickly opened your eyes and froze at the sight in front of you.

The detective shakily stood and held his hands around his throat as blood poured from a large gash in his neck and he fell to the ground, dead within seconds.

Above him stood Murdoc, who held a pencil sharpener with the blade sticking out and covered in blood.

He widely grinned as he looked down at the corpse.

He then looked at you.

You quickly pulled out your gun and pointed it at him.

"Well it looks like I got him right in his carotid artery! I would've prefered seeing him bleed out slower but it's too late for that now!" he laughed.

"Don't you move or I will fire!" you shakily demanded.

"Relax there! My son might be wearing his headphones with his music at full volume right now but I am sure that he will hear that gunshot! Now you wouldn't want him to go look through that window and watch him get traumatized from the sight of his father bleeding on the ground with a bloodied corpse right next to him would you?" he asked while grinning at you.

You growled with frustration. Murdoc had a point.

"Fine! I won't shoot but turn around and keep your hands behind your back so that I can handcuff you!" you ordered him.

"As you wish!" he exclaimed.

You slowly walked over to him.

While still aiming your gun at him, you pulled out the handcuffs from your pocket.

You were shaking and struggled to put them on him with one hand.

You ended up accidently dropping them and you silently scolded yourself.

You bent down to pick them up and right at that moment, you realized that you had made a huge mistake.

Before you could do anything, Murdoc pushed you to the ground and you dropped your gun.

He quickly grabbed it and pointed it at you. You tensed up and your heart raced.

"That was far easier than I expected! They should really hire guards with quicker reflexes!" Murdoc chuckled.

You stayed quiet and hoped that it would all end soon.

"Now, I need to escape with my son so I will need to go help me!" he said.

"What makes you think that I'll help you?" you asked.

"If you don't, I will simply have to kill you and find my way out myself! I think it would be best to help me and maybe I'll feel a bit of gratitude that I'll spare you!" he replied.

"Err, fine.." you quietly responded.

"Good! Now first I need you to turn off every single camera on this building! I do not want the Pheonix Foundation to know how I got out or where I headed to! And remember, try anything funny, and I'll kill you immediately!" he chuckled.

You slightly nodded and stood up. You walked down a hallway with Murdoc who followed you with the gun pointed at your back.

You walked into the room where the cameras were controlled. There wasn't anyone in the room because everyone thought that there would never be any danger. You deactivated all of the cameras on the building and turned back to Murdoc.

"Thank you! Now what I need to know is where the closest exit is! I have retrieved that detective's car keys so I already have a vehicle to escape in!" he said.

"The closest exit is right next to the room where your son is.." you responded.

"Great! Now I am truly greatful that you've helped me so I think I'll spare you for now! I still need to make sure that you don't try anything as I leave with my son!" he chuckled as he pushed you out of the room.

He took you to another room and shoved you inside. He then shut the door behind you and locked it.

"Hey! Let me out!" you yelled as you banged your fists on the door.

"No can do! I'm just making sure that there are no disturbances as my son and I leave! Thanks for the help though!" Murdoc exclaimed.

You heard his footsteps grow quieter as he left.

You sighed as you sat on the floor and leaned on the wall.

It would be a while before anyone would come and let you out.
