'At the moment, Zach. I keep switching lanes so yeah', I say with a "smile". He smiles and looks away. Do I see this wrong or is he blushing? 'Okay Amber. Your turn', Daniel says. Hmm. Zach is still blushing. I tell myself it isn't possible. That I am just a fan so I ask Jack: 'Truth or dare?' He asks for truth and I reply with: 'Are you dating Aspen?' The boys all look at him. 'No. I know that goes around in the fandom but no. We are just friends.' I smile. Finally I know the truth. 'It is 6 pm guys, who wants to eat?' Zach is immediately back to reality and shouts 'Me!'
'Okay, what do you want to eat?', I ask with a smile. They all want french fries so I take them to the best place in town: De Vliegplein. Daniel is very curious and keeps asking me personal questions: 'Amber, your english is great, where did you learn that?' I smile: 'I was born in the USA. And I really love the language so, yeah.'
'Where in the US?', Zach asks. 'Wichita Falls, Texas. 2 hours driving from Dallas.' Jonah shouts:' AHH twinning!!' and we all laugh. We finally get our fries and start eating.
*the next day*
'What are we going to do today, Amber?', Jonas is sitting on the floor. Playing with some sticks. 'We are going to make a butterfly.' The other kids shout in excitement. They are very creative. Sometimes I help, when they find it difficult to make something. The door behind me opens and I hear my mom laughing: 'Amber! I have a surprise for you!' I turn around and see Alsace. 'Al! What a surprise!' She laughs: 'Girl! I can't wait for the day that you stop working! I miss you!' and she gives me a very big hug. I know she is hiding something by the way she talks. Then she giggles: 'I've met that blond guy from Why Don't We a few minutes ago. He says he is looking for you.'
I smile and explain her everything that has happend. And suddenly I feel a little down. Why? Because they leave when I stop working. Then I'll never see them again.
