That was too much. I ran upstairs and slammed the door. I fell down and cried my eyes out. Now I am laying on the floor for like, maybe an hour? The person I love hates me, and it is my fault. Why am I a complete mess when something happens that involves true love? I hear the boys at the door. I don't have the strength to stand up or even say 'come in'. There is a moment of silence, then, all in a sudden, I hear Jonah: 'Zach, she loves you. She told me a few minutes ago. not litterarly but...' I scream internally: Why is it always me? I feel terrible. I tried to get up and fall down again.
Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder: 'Come here, I'll help you. Don't say no because you need it.' I turn around and see Zach: 'Come on, I know you feel tired.' He says with a sad smile while he carries me to my bed. 'Zach, I-' he interrupts me by putting a finger on my lips. 'Go to sleep, you need it. I fall asleep while holding his hand.
*the next morning*
'Goodmorning Amber', I see Jack. His hair messed up. 'Have you slept well?', he sits down on the edge of my bed. 'I had a few dreams, awful ones', I say while looking around. 'Where is everybody?', I ask confused. Jack smiles and strokes my hair: 'Your parents are at work and your sister is meeting a friend. The others are still asleep, except for Jonah and Corbyn.'
He looks so tired. 'Jack? Have you actually got some sleep?', I ask. He shakes his head: 'No, not much. Zach neither', he pauses: 'He woke up 10 times having the same nightmare over and over again. He didn't want to talk about it... I felt helpless.'
Now I am really worried: 'No, Jack. It is okay. That is his decision.' he smiles: 'Thanks, but we should wake him up, he doesn't want to miss breakfast.' I smirk. But immediately turn worried. Jack really looks extremely tired. 'You should go back to bed and get some sleep. I'll wake him up', I say while getting out of bed. He gives me a kiss on my forehead: 'Thanks Amber, you are the sweetest.'
Zach is so cute when he sleeps. He looks so peaceful. Cuter than he usually is. I stop walking when I see a glinster on his cheek. I come closer and see it is a tear. I gasp silently. I sit down next to him and stroke his head: 'Wake up, Zachary.' He wakes up and our eyes lock. Suddenly, he remembers everything what happend: 'Amber, I am so sorry you had to hear that yesterday. I-', But I interrupt him just like he did yesterday. 'No need to apologise, Zach. I have to say sorry. I treated you like crap. I am so so sorry.' A tear rolls down my cheek. He wipes it away: 'Don't cry Amber. I forgive you.' He gives me a big hug. 'Now, lets get some breakfast, I am starving!'
I feel much better when I come downstairs and see the lovely toasts, eggs, saucages and loads of other food. 'Goodmorning!', Jonah says with a smile, 'You guys want some coffee?' I giggle. Everybody feels loads better. All the boys have plans for today, except for Jonah. I have a wonderful idea. I lead him to the couch while the boys leave and tell him to sit down. 'You and I are both Potterheads, what do you think of a marathon?' He laughs and agrees with starting with the third film. You want to know how we spent the rest of the day? Well.....
