Different // Why Don't We

welcome in LA // part 12

'How are we going to surprise her?', Jack says. I keep my eyes closed. I want to hear everything. 'Why not spending a month with us in LA? I believe she would love that', Zach says. Everyone agrees with a laughter. Daniel becomes serious: 'Jack, is aspen coming next month?' Jack replies a little distant: 'I think so... She likes me, like a lot.' The boys mumble. 'How did she react when she saw we are getting close with Amber?', Corbyn asks nervously, 'I mean, Christina is okay with it. She wants to get to know her.'

'She wasn't happy, I can tell you that. In fact, I think she already hates her. Aspen gets jealous very fast. She keeps asking me to come back', Jack says a little angrily. He sounds irritated. I pretend that I am waking up. 'Goodmorning Beauty!', Jonah says with a smile on his face.

'Goodmorning guys. How are y'all doing today?', I say very innocently. Wow, I don't like Aspen!

*few weeks later* 

'This airport is big!', I say with a gasp. I spin around. 'LAX, welcome in LA, Ambi', I turn around and see Daniel. 'Hey Dani! How are you?', I say with a laughter. 'I am okay. Come on, Christina is desperate to meet you!', he says enthusiastically. 'Wait, Dani. I have someone with me', I grab his arm. 'Wait? Who?', he looks so confused.

'Me', Alsace says, 'Hi Daniel.' he doesn't say a word. The only thing he does is staring at her. Like a statue he just smiles. 'I think he is okay with it', I say to Alsace. She giggles. Daniboy gets back to reality: 'Yeah ofcourse.' We giggle 'So as I said, Christina is waiting. There is a chance Aspen will be coming too and -' My thoughts grab my attention: Did he just say Aspen? She hates me! oml, How am I going to survive this month? 

*at the boys' house *

'Hi Amber!', Corbyn yells. 'Hi Corbyn! OMG! Hi Christina!', I say with a enthusiast gasp. She laughs: 'Finally! I've wanted to meet you, the girl who became one of Corbyns best friends!' She gives me a big hug: 'We are going to be good friends! The 3 of us', she says as soon as she noticed Alsace. I introduce Alsace and tell everyone she is my best friend. 

Alsace smiles: 'call me Al', and she winks. Corbyn and Jonah immediately call her 'Al' and we all go inside. Zach is very happy: 'I am so glad you girls arrived!' Jack comes closer, winks and whispers: 'Just so he could see you.' He walks Alsace to her room. Wow. This is sweet.

'Bambi, come on. I am going to show you your room', Jonah says. He and Al are the only ones who call me 'Bambi'. The others call me 'Ambi'. 'How many rooms do you guys have?', I ask while he takes my suitcase. He leads me upstairs. On the stairs we meet Jack: 'Amber, Jonah. Put on your bathing suits, we are gonna have a pool party!' 

This is gonna be fun! Alsace is totally ready. She is wearing her bathing suit already: 

'Hey girl! Hurry up!', she shouts while running down the stairs I laugh: 'She is a happy girl.' Jonah takes me to my room: 'Here you go. Now, put that bathing suit on. We are going to have some fun.' And he leaves me alone. I put on my bathing suit: 

It really is my favourite. I also put on my shorts and a black, oversized t-shirt. One that shows one shoulder. 

The boys are already in the pool when I come downstairs. 'Bombs away!', I hear Al shouting. I see her and she dives into the pool. Christina has set up a mini bar: 'Hey Amber! Want a drink?' I nodd and she mixes a virgin mojito. Zach acts like he didn't see me but I know better. Suddenly, I hear Jack shouting: 'Come on Ambi! It is nice here!' Christina has already jumped in. I take off my clothes and they see my bikini. I hear Alsace whistling and Christina shouting: 'What a beautiful girl!' When I turn around I see Zach got red and the boys are teasing him: 'Awwn! Look Amber! Zach thinks you are gorgeous!', Jonah shouts, 'We all do!' Al is smirking, I can read her eyes from here: 'This is your chance, don't be shy and show them what you can!
