Life has been horrible. This summer, Amber starts working at a camping site. Little did she know that summer would change her entire life? She meets the Why Don't We boys and her life changes, forever!
"How is it possible that you never invited us over?", I hear Daniel asking. I turn around and see Alsace's eyes watering. She missed her boyfriend so much. It must have been really hard for her to ignore his calls. "Hey, sweety. It is okay. You are seeing him in a few minutes", I whisper. She nodds. Hanna sends the text I have been waiting for, 5 minutes later.

The music was blasting, so I have a reason to start yelling. Alsace chuckles and I open the door. I dash down the stairs:"Hanna! I don't mind that you bring friends over in my house, but turn the volume down. Gosh!" She pauzes the music and yells back: " You, agreed with-", she can't finish her sentence due to Corbyn jumping in my neck: "OMG! AMBER! YOU'RE BACK!", he can't say much more because he starts crying. "Tears of joy?", I ask as the same tears roll down my face as well. He nodds.
Then, I hear Daniel: "OMG! ALSACE!", he runs towards her. "DANIEL! I missed you so much!", I hear Alsace sobbing. Their kiss is full with love, joy and, of course, tears. Corbyn and I are still in the hug. He is still sobbing. "Sssh, Corby, it's okay. I am here now", I try to shush him.
"How, Wha-. Have you been planning all this?", he says, wiping his tears away. "Ofcourse!", I reply, "I thought it would be a wonderful surprise!" I look at the others. Zach and Jack have silent tears. I walk up to them and hug them tightly: "My gosh, did I miss you guys!" They both give me a squeeze as an answer. They've missed me too. I turn around and face Jonah. My happiness fades a little as I see no tears, just a little smile. No... a tiny smile. "I've missed you so much, JoJo."
He opens his arms, inviting me for a hug. I run into them and burry my face in his chest. His scent brings new tears, memories and a smile. He squeezes me, just a little. "I've missed you more", he whispers in my ear. I get out of the embrace and look him straight in the eyes. I remember his girlfriend and again, I push the tears away. Hanna turns on the volume again and a smile appears on my face; it is party time, I am reunited with my best friends. How can I be sad right now due to Jonah having a girlfriend?
Corbyn grabs my wrist and starts dancing with me. After several minutes, I notice that Daniel and Alsace are gone. Hanna chuckles, her finger points upstairs and I smirk: "okay!" Then, out of nowhere, a slow song plays, Zach takes Hanna in his arms and I guess you can see I am confused because Jack walks up to me: "You didn't know? She didn't tell you?" I shake my head: "Didn't tell what?" He laughs: "They are dating you silly! It was the most romantic moment I have ever experienced! She was having an off day and Zach got a little worried. It was so cute! I took her to the skatepark so he could prepare everything! Roses, candles, chocolate! He cheered her up with asking her out! You had to see them! She brightend up and he started blushing so badly!"
A smile appears on my face. I am so happy for her! They do look adorable together. Corbyn drags Jack onto the dancefloor and I keep out of the spotlight. I take a sip of my drink and notice Jonah has a lot of attention for his phone. Corbyn notices me and lets go of Jack, he dances his way up to me and takes my hand: "Come on, Amber. You're my best friend. We can have a slow together, Christina wouldn't mind." I smile weakly: "Alright then!"
I try to feel comfortable, but it doesn't really work. Corbyn smiles: "Relaaaax, Amber. I'll take the lead." He places my hands around his neck and his own hands on my waist. "I've never had a slow actually...", I whisper. his eyes widen: "You're kidding?" I shake my head in respond. "Everybody must be stupid then, leaving you standing there." My eyes start to water thanks to the sweet words of him and he places a kiss on my forehead: "Bambi, I promise you. Love is closer than you think." I nodd and notice Jonah's focus went from his phone to me and Corbyn. He looks away when I look up and walks to the bar. He seems jealous.... Nah, who am I joking? He doesn't love me like I love him.
