{chapter 11}

[madelaine's pov]

i woke up and yawned, attempting to get out of bed, but two carmel arms wrapped around my waist kept me down.

that's when i remembered what happened last night

we kissed

me and vanessa kissed

you would think i would be happy about this, i have feelings for vanessa, and we kissed. that's exciting. but i just felt regret and disgust. 

i quickly untangled myself from her arms and sat on my spot in the bed

i still couldn't believe what i just did. i kissed a girl. i cheated on travis. and to top it all of i did it with Vanessa

i rubbed my temples "fuck, my head feels like it's trying to kill it self" i whispered

i hate being hungover

i needed to get some water so i quietly walked out of bed, trying not to wake up vanessa

when i got to the kitchen there was a note on the counter from Camilla

me and lili headed home early, she has to get ready for her and cole's date ;) she said for me to tell you to thank vanessa for daring her to tell cole she liked him, it worked in her favor as you can tell. text me later k. love c

i laughed at the note, we all knew cole and lili were heart eyes for each other

that's when a tired vanessa walked into
kitchen

"what ya reading?" she yawned, stretching her arms and plopping down on a seat

"it was a note from camilla, they had to leave early so that lili could get ready for her date"

vanessa chuckled "so everything with cole worked out huh?"

"it did, camilla also said that lili says thank you"

"well she's very welcome"

i let out a chuckle

vanessa then shifted awkwardly in her seat. i faked a sneeze trying to break the silence

"bless you"

"thanks"

and then it fell silent again

and i know that we both know what we're trying not to talk about. well, what i don't want to talk about

"breakfast?" i asked

"no-no im not hungry right now. i would take a cup of tea though"

"yeah i can make you some tea"

"thank you"

"totally"

i went over to the cabinet where i kept all my tea and grabbed a packet placing it in the cup. i then put some hot water in a pot so it could boil.

"Madeleine, we should talk"

"no, i don't think that's necessary"

"it is mads! there's tension, there shouldn't be tension"

"look vanessa i just want to forget about last night"

"well i can't forget about it. i have so many questions mads"

"and i have no answers, it was a mistake and i regret it"

"why?"

"because i do vanessa!"

"i don't get it madelaine, how do you kiss me one night and then say you regret it the next morning?"

"there's nothing to get, it's just that. we shouldn't have kissed"

"madelaine!  there's nothing wrong with us kissing! it doesn't really matt-"

"but it does vanessa! not only did i technically cheat on travis, but i kissed a girl! and to top it all of, i did all this stuff with you!"

vanessa looked almost, hurt

she then stood up "and what's wrong with it being me?"

"why would it be you vanessa! your my bestfriend!!"

"well maybe i don't want to be just your bestfriend!"

"i don't get it"

"last night, during truth or dare, lili asked if you were happy with travis"

i palmed my self on the forehead

"oh shit, listen whatever i said i didn't mean it. i was drunk of my mind and i-"

"cut the crap mads, we both know you spill your heart out when your drunk"

i could only look down ashamed, she was right.

"you said that you loved travis but you didn't think he was the one. and then you started talking about how you've wanted a prince charming since you were a kid. and after we kissed i realized maybe you don't need a Prince Charming-"

she pointed her hands to her self "maybe you need me. princess vanessa"

"vanessa, listen i-"

"forget it, im sorry. your right this was all a mistake. im just gonna go"

just as she got up, the pot of water began to whistle

"vanessa come back, we can talk about this over tea!"

she stood at the door and looked at me straight in the face "im not in the mood for tea anymore"

then she walked out my house.

A/N: so i think my issue was i tried to write at night and that did nothing and i got nothing done. so now i know that i should write only during the day lol. sorry for the very very very delayed update. I'm working on getting updates done quicker. i hoped you enjoyed this chapter!! <3
