Her dinner felt like an eternity. She couldn't eat due to the fact the love of her life was still in jail for something he didn't commit.

"Darling, are you ok?" Her mother asked. "You have been eating your chicken or your cottage cheese jello;" Lily looked at her mom with a weak smile. Her mother frowning and looking at her. "You look like you have seen a ghost." She added. Lily just pushed her plate away and held her stomach.

"I'm just nervous really. The wedding is this weekend and it's just... wow." Lily explained. She couldn't dare mention how she was also terrified for Eren and what could happen to him at court.

"You'll be fine Lily. I was very nervous for my wedding but now look where me and your father are now." Her mother said. Of course Lily's father shrugged.

"I was fine." He plainly said about his big day. Lily just nodded and kept poking at her food.

"What are you doing? Waiting for it to move like a slug? Eat." He commented at his daughter. Lily just nodded and eat small bits. It just made her more nervous of how her life would change. She looked at her engagement ring from Maxwell and mentally sighed. The meal was quiet for a while until there was a knock at the door. Lily was about to get it but was stopped by her father. He opened the door and there was two policemen. Her father was confused but let them inside their house.

"Sweetheart?" Her mother called out from her seat. Lily's father just motioned her to sit and of course her mother did. Lily just kept eating small things from the plate and tried to avoid looking at the policemen. At times, her father would look at her as the men talked. Soon they finished talking and a single word broke the silence.

"Lily." Her father called. Lily's eyes widened but got up and calmed herself down. She then looked at the men and for a moment believed they were the ones to lock Eren up.

"Yes father?" She asked quietly, trying to avoid looking at the police but looking at her father.

"Lily darling, these men said that you were at the circus earlier today;" He answered and looked at her. "That you were crying over some lion tamer." He added. Her mind began to freak out.

"Yes I was there. I ran off thereafter what happened with my old friend." She explained.

"And the lion tamer?" He asked.

"He... He was trying to take me home but I did not listen... I just wanted to stay and cry." She answered. She felt bad for lying but if her father had found out about the affair, it would be game over.

"You heard her men;" Her father said and touched her shoulder. Lily just put her head down in shame. She began to freak out mentally and couldn't hear fully what the three were saying. It all became a muffled sound. "Lily... you have to go to court for him ok?" He asked her daughter, her name taking her out of her freak out. Lily looked at her father with wide eyes.

"Father please... do not make me do this please. I-I cannot just get him off like that. He is a good guy I just... I did not listen to him." She begged. Her father sighed.

"You have to. The court will take place the day after you come back from your honeymoon." He said and stroked her hair with his coarse hands. The word 'honeymoon' began to make her scared again of marriage. She nodded and sighed. She bit her lip ever so slightly and looked down. Her father just looked at the police and the two decided to leave, bidding goodnight. Once the door closed and the sound of sirens fading away, Lily's father looked at Lily. She looked up at him, a small lip bite there and concerned eyes.

"How dare you run off like that! If people find out that you were around some disgusting circus... freak! My career would go down the drain faster than you can say 'Rose'!" Her father yelled. Lily shuddered and shook slightly. Her mother coming into the room and frowning upon her daughter. Her own flesh and blood. "Do you want all of our money to go away?!?" He yelled. Lily shook her head. "Do you want everything you own sold away to the bare minimum?!?" He asked her. Another head shake. "Sometimes Lily, I wish your mother aborted you;" He muttered to her. Lily's eyes widened but kept her head down. Her mother wanted to jump in but was terrified to say anything without getting hit. "Now... You are to never. NEVER! Leave this house until you get married. You are to only call Maxwell and that is it. If I even hear a peep about something not related to him or the wedding I will lock you in the attic with little food and little water;" He warned her. "Understood?" He asked his daughter. Lily nodded. "UNDERSTOOD?" He yelled at her.
