Epilogue: 6 Years Later

There they were. In California. The war was over. Rosie was laying in the grass, gazing at the clouds in the sky. Lily was finishing designing a dress for her newest client. Her skin clean and pale as ever except for one bit that she kept hidden. Once Lily though got to a good stopping point, she put the ribbon and scissors down and went outside, laying down next to her daughter.

"What do you see Rosie?" She asked her daughter. Rosie smiled and pointed at a cloud.

"There is a bird!" Rosie yelled with happiness, then pointing at another. "That one over there looks like a turtle!" She said, excitement there. Lily chuckled and looked. Rosie then pointed at another. "That one looks like daddy's lion! The one you have under your boobie!" Rosie said. Lily froze and sat up. She never told her daughter about her tattoo of the lion under her right boob. She realized that her daughter might have seen it and continued to ask questions.

"How do you know what daddy's lion looks like?" Her mother asked. Rosie smiled.

"I saw it when I was sleeping one night! Daddy was there too!" She said with a huge smile. Lily's pupils were as small as a ink dot.

"What did daddy look like?" She asked.

"He has nice brown hair, my eyes and tanned skin." She explained. Lily's eyes began to water up.

"How-what did he say?" She asked.

"That he misses you mommy and that he loves you very very much! He said that he can't wait to see you soon!" Rosie answered. Lily was now officially crying and held her daughter close. Rosie though thought it was a hug and hugged her mother. "He also said that he is very proud of you. He loves how beautiful I became because of you." She added. Lily was now sobbing and a mess. She never imagined her daughter saying this to her about her true love.

"Daddy loves you so much Rosie. He really does." Lily said through the gasps of air. Rosie smiled.

"I know Mommy. I know."
