Boomer and I climbed back up to the mountain top, Joseph's statue above us. I didn't know how I got over to the statue, nor did I want to know how. Once I reached the top, I looked at the statue. Peggies stood guard around it, I ran in, shooting every Peggie in sight. Boomer took down them as I shot them. Once the last Peggie fell, I looked around. To the left of the eyesore, scaffolding surrounded what looked like the foundations of another project. I walked over to site, spotting a small leather book. Inside, plans for another statue where drawn, detailing the dimensions and material it was to be made of. I looked at the title.

The Mother's Monument

They planned to build another concrete statue, one of me standing next to Joseph. I felt sick. No way is this happening! I walked over to Joseph's statues and began piling all my explosives around the base, even the ones that I found around the base. Dynamite, grenades, C4, Whatever I had that would go Kaboom! I stood far back, sending Boomer far away from the statue. I pulled out my final stick of dynamite and lit it. Throwing it at the base of the statue, it fizzled down. That one stick set off a chain reaction, causing every explosive around the base to explode. The statue shook before tilting over the edge, falling to where I had woken up from my bliss trance. The smoke and dust cleared, nothing was left. No foundations, no rubble and no statue.

"Goddamn... we can see your work all the way at the Prison! Goodbye to that waste of concrete... Hey, if you're lookin' to cause more trouble I got an idea... Faith keeps her personal copy of Joseph's ramblings inside that thing. Find them and burn those papers... Show her what happens when you fuck with the wrong people." Tracey told me from my radio. I walked up to where the statue had stood. A wooden hatch sat directly where the statue had stood only moments ago. I opened the hatch and descended into the darkness. On a stone altar by a candle, sat a white book. Faith's copy of Joseph's teachings. I threw the leather book down next to the white book. I didn't want a statue being built. Taking out my lighter from my pocket, I burned the books. I watched as they burned to ash, I wanted to make sure nothing remained of either of these books. Faith's voice filled my head as I watched.

"What have you done? His words. Don't you understand what He'll do to me?" faith spoke, fear coated her words. I shook my head, clearing her voice. My radio came to life as a voice spoke.

"I see what you've done. I know what you're doing. I'm not angry at you, but I'm angry with your friends. You head has been filled with lies and tainted your thoughts. Our children are coming to bring you home, so that we may rid you of these lies, my Angel. Do not fight this, for it is God's will that you are brought home." The one person who I never wanted to hear from, Joseph Seed, spoke. I scoffed.

Like I would do as he says. I loaded my gun and made my way back up. Peggies began to swarm me, not a single bullet flew towards me.

Looks like Joseph told them not to hurt me. That makes this easier for me! I picked up a rocket launcher off the ground and began to fire, taking down a small handful of Peggies with each rocket. The Peggies tried to fight back, running towards me in an attempt to take me down. I hurried to take them out quickly, Boomer helping as we cleared out the last of them.

"That was fuckin' beautiful. Joseph Seed's gonna be shittin' bricks and Faith is gonna feel the heat now... She'll need to answer for that burned book and that mangled effigy. Hell of a job..." Tracey told me. Guilt started to grip me, all this trouble I was causing was hurting my soulmates. I shouldn't feel bad, but I do. The soulmate bond caused me to feel this guilt. If I hurt or caused harm to my soulmates, it drove you to apologise and make amends. I had to resist, they caused so much pain and suffering to these people. I stood up and began walking back down the hill.
