"Breaking news. A dead body was found in the woods of Highston town, Saturday morning. Sheriff Brooks hasn't confirmed what caused the death. However, they have doubts that it was a mountain lion. It's the second death this week and citizen are starting to wonder what's going on. What are we going to do if we find the mountain lion?"
"Obviously they are going to kill him." My brother said sarcastically as he turned the TV off. I turned my head towards him.
"I was watching the TV."
He shrugged and handed me the remote. I really don't want to go to school today. "Well, if you continue watching it, you'll be late to school."
"Well, at least I didn't drop off of University like you and Gabe."
He turned to look at me. "Gabe found a great job and I'm taking a year off thinking if it's better if I go in college."
I sighed and nodded. "Alright, that was harsh." He looked surprised and raised his eyebrows.
"Are you apologizing?" He asked, surprised. I rolled my eyes and stood up and made my way towards the kitchen.
I grabbed an apple and then took my backpack. I took a bite then walked to the front door as I put on my boots, my coat, and gloves. I walked out of the house and made my way to the school as I ate my apple.
One week left before Christmas break. I can't wait, especially when my uncle will be there.

"Another death," Chloe exclaimed as we walked down the hallway. "Two in a row. Intense."
"Yeah, I hope they find the mountain lion or wolf soon," I replied as we reached her locker. She did her combination then opened her locker. I watched as she grabbed her stuff for our next class.
"Yeah, but don't you think it's weird?" She asked. "A few people were killed a few decades ago and now it's starting again."
I shrugged. "Probably another mountain lion," I suggested. "And that was like twenty years ago."
"Yeah, but still, it's weird." She said as she closed her locker and we walked towards our English class.
"Let the cops handle it, Clo. This is an unusual case and a serious one."
She sighed. "I know, but I'm curious about this. It's an unusual one so we should look more into it."
"We should be thinking about prom and not those murders," I replied. I can't wait to graduate yet I'm scared because I will have to face the real life. At least, I'm going to the same college as Chloe and Mike. I've been waiting for prom since I started high school, now there are only a few months left and I will graduate.
"I know." She said as we walked into the class. I sat down at my desk and Chloe sat next to me. "But why would they go into the woods when they knew someone died before? It doesn't make sense."
I thought about it for a few seconds. After the first death, people continued to go into the woods. Why would they go there if someone was already murdered?
The bell rang indicating that we should all be in our classes.
I watched as Mike and a few of his friends walked in with Cory following them. I've never really spoken to Cory but he is a friend of Mike's.
"Alright, class." Ms. Murphy began. I sighed through my nose. She's annoying. She yells at people for no reason. She started talking, however, I did not listen as my thoughts wandered somewhere else. Well, I don't think no one is listening to her. I mean, it's Christmas break in less than a week. Mike, who is sitting in front of me, turned his head to look at me and smiled. But we both turned our heads when we heard radio chatters in the hallway. A few students turned their heads as they saw two cops walking by. One is Chloe's dad, the Sheriff, and the other one is Jason, a deputy.
