The dude, holding a knife opened the light and I jumped back in fear, my head hitting the wall. I screamed as I threw the bag of the chips at the dude's head. Then I realized who it was. I let out a breath.

''WHAT THE HELL, GABE?!'' I screamed and Chloe jolted into a sitting position.

''Where?! What?! Who!'' Chloe screamed. I jumped off the bed and bolted towards Gabe and pushed him so hard that he stumbled back on Chloe's couch but he caught my wrist which made him drop the fake knife and brought me down with him.

''Gabe, what the hell?!'' Chloe screamed at him as I stared at him. I hit his chest and stood up. I placed my hand on my forehead and let out a deep breath. My hands were shaking a bit from the rush of adrenaline I got.

"Shit, I'm sorry." Gabe apologized. I just stared back at him and crossed my arms over my chest. "I'm really sorry, that was so stupid from me." He paused as he sit up on the couch. "Are you okay?"

I nodded and let out a breath, "Yeah, I'm fine, Gabriel."

He gulped. He hates it when we use his whole name instead of 'Gabe'. Whoever gets mad at him will use his first name and her mom did that often when he was younger and I think it's one of the reasons why he prefers 'Gabe'

"Nah, usually when a girl says I'm fine, she's lying." I've known Gabe since I became friends with Chloe. But I always had a crush on him until I started dating Mike. "And you also used my whole first name which also means that you're mad."

"Then I'll be okay," I said with a huff.

I walked away from him to get to the bathroom.

''Wait, Vanessa.'' He called as he followed me and I turned around. He stopped and let out a sigh through his nose. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to."

I half smiled, "It's okay."

He smirked. "Alright, thanks for the chips, by the way." He said as he held up the bag of chips. I rolled my eyes and turned back around.

I walked into the bathroom and turned the water on in the sink. I splashed some water on my face then turned off the faucets. I walked out and went back into Chloe's bedroom.

"You okay?" She asked as I came to sit next to her. I nodded. "I know you don't want to go back into the woods, but I think we should look more into this."

I frowned. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Plus, it's not our job, that's your dad's and all the cops' job."

She let out a sigh and I watched as she looked distant as she was thinking of something. "I don't think it's a mountain lion who done this." She explained. "Glowing eyes, a dude bitting your neck...do you think that supernatural creatures exist?"

I shrugged. "I don't know and I don't want to know," I replied. "And we can't tell the cops about this. We have no proof and they will think we're crazy if we tell them that theory."

She nodded in agreement. "That's why I want to know. Aren't you curious to know if they are really real?"

"Like I said, I don't want to know," I replied. How are we supposed to find out if they're real? Go in the woods on a full moon? If we saw a wolf it could be a normal wolf or a human into a wolf, but how are we going to know the difference? Unless the werewolves are like the old type of werewolves. A half human, a half wolf standing on its two legs with saliva dripping from its mouth.

"Aren't you curious about what the fuck the guy that kidnapped you is?"

Thinking about it, yes, I want to know. Maybe it will help to have fewer nightmares. Well, okay, I don't know. But I'm actually kinda curious about it. But he could actually be just a cannibal. He probably watched too much of the Walking Dead and similar TV shows.
