I felt uncomfortable as everyone stared at me until a guy yelled, ''Party!!'' Everyone cheered as the music started playing again.

I turned to look at Chloe, ''Why were looking at me like that? Like if I was some kind of creature?''

''Surprising that you say that because a few minutes ago you were saying they don't exist,'' She said with a laugh but I didn't. I looked at her with a look. ''I don't know, okay. All I know is everyone knew you were kidnapped...''

''And?'' I asked.

She gulped, ''What do you mean by and?''

I raised an eyebrow because I know that she knows what I'm talking about. ''You know what I mean by and.''

She let out a sigh, ''And raped...''

''What?! Who---''

''Looks it's okay if you don't want to talk about it, Vanessa. I unders---''

I cut her off, ''I wasn't sexually assaulted! Who the hell started that rumor? If I got raped, do you think I'll be there right now? I would be scared to death to come to a party which I know I could get abused if I drink too much. So tell me who started it?''

She shrugged, ''That, I don't know. Must be some little kids that think if you're kidnapped, you get raped.''

I shook my head, ''I need some air.'' I walked past the people dancing but bumped into someone as they dropped their drink on the floor. ''Oh, God, I'm sorry.''

''It's fine.'' A familiar voice said and I looked up at the person but frowned. I've seen him somewhere before. ''Don't worry about it.'' He smiled. ''You okay?''

I frowned...brown hair and green eyes. ''I think I know you. You look familiar''

He smiled and glanced down at his feet and back at me, ''It's a small town, we could have met somewhere or walked past each other.''

I frowned and nodded, still not believing him though. Shrugging it off, I walked past him.

''Hey,'' He interrupted and I looked back at him. ''What's your name?''

I smiled and I was going to answer him but someone cut me off. "Vanessa." Mike's voice called. I turned around and saw him walking towards me. "Can we talk?" I glanced at the guy, who wasn't there anymore, then back at Mike.

I nodded. "Sure."

I followed him through the large house crowded with people. Some people were puking already. One in a vase, another on the floor and another one passed out on the stairs that lead upstairs. Um, someone should call an ambulance. I don't think that's good.

Mike opened the patio door and walked into the backyard and I followed him until he stopped and turned around to look at me.

''We really had to come outside?'' I asked. ''It's cold.''

''We have to talk.'' He said, ignoring my question. Those four little words that have a lot of meaning... which doesn't always mean a good thing. I mentioned him to continue. ''We... I mean, we can't be together anymore. It doesn't work between us and I just need some pace.''

I bit down on my lip as a tear fell down on my cheeks, ''Why?'' I whispered.

He let out a sigh, ''I have a reputation in this school, so did you. I'm the quarterback on the football team, you're a cheerleader, but people have been talking about you... about what happened to you a few days ago... the kidnapping and the rape.''
