Hope you enjoy the chapter.

Chloe sat down next to me and Mike was sitting in front of us. It's the first time since Mike broke up with me that he came to sat with us. It was a bit weird since we were together for a long time. His friends/my ex-friends we're sitting a few tables away from us and they were looking at Mike's back. Probably wondering why he's sitting with us and not them.

"Alright," Chloe began, "I talked to my brother and he thinks it's weird that the bite mark disappeared."

Mike let a sigh through his nose. I really want to reassure him, but I don't know what to tell him. I've never seen anything like this. Plus he had a bite that healed overnight, which is not normal.

"I swear to God, if I end up being like that thing, I'm gonna jump off a bridge."

"Mike, don't say that!" He stared back at me and shrugged. "We'll figure something out."

"What if I can't kill myself?" He asked then slammed his hand against his head dramatically. Chloe bit down on her lip to hold back a laugh. We turned our heads as we heard a glass hitting the floor and shattering on the floor. The new guy, Matthew, stood in the middle of the cafeteria. Tristan is standing in front of him. Matthew looked around nervously and back at Thomas who had food all over his clothes. That kid Matthew is screwed.

"Sorry, man," Matthew said.

"Wait for it." Mike whispered. "I'd say in 3..." Tristan remained silent. "2...1..." Tristan was about to punch Matthew but the director walking in and yelled, "Hey! Enough!"

Mike looked at the scene shocked, "But nothing happened yet, what the hell."

"Both of you, in my office." The director and the two teenagers walked out of the cafeteria and everyone went back into their own conversation.

"So about last night..." Mike began, but Logan arrived and said, "Do you mind if I sit with you guys?" Mike glanced at me and I shook my head.

Chloe and Mike exchanged a look as Logan sat down. I know they both told me not to tell Logan that Mike got bitten but he still does know that vampires exist. Does he know anything else?

*************************

I walked into the Sheriff's station. Not for good news. Agent Walter wants to speak to me.

The station is way different than before. On one side, there's all the FBI agents and the other side it's the cops from our town. They don't seem to be cooperating well with each other.

Agent Walter looked up at me as I reached his desk.

"Hi there, Miss Chase." Agent Walter began, but I looked behind him and saw a familiar face. The guy turned his head and I immediately recognized that guy.

I pointed my finger at him, "You're the one who was following me the other day!" I exclaimed and his eyes widened. Agent Walter spun around in his chair and looked at the guy. "At the dress shop and the museum!!"

"I told you she wasn't supposed to see you, Agent Robinson." Agent Walter told him.

"My apology, sir." The guy replied.

Then Agent Walter turned back around to face me, "I told you, I would be watching you." He replied. Oh shit...I hope he hadn't an agent following me when I went into the woods. Is that why I had a call saying to come here?! I'm in big trouble. "However, you are no longer a suspect. We have a few pieces of evidence that says that a murderer is actually a man. Yet, for the animal's marks, we don't know, so we might be staying in Highston longer than we thought." He explained. "I'll have an agent to escort you back home with the few threats you've got these past few days." I frowned. The only threats I had are the message from Francis' phone. Did he saw them?

"What do you mean?" I asked.

He looked up at me with a frown. "You're father didn't tell you? These past two days, there are random letters at your house that are death threats."

"About what?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Your father hadn't gotten them to me yet. However, come back at six because I need to ask you a few questions about these threats. Understood?" He asked and I nodded. My shifts end at five today. My first shift since Skylar's death. I was supposed to work with her a few days after her death, but I called in sick because I was too scared to get dirty looks at work and being judged by people, especially when I was the number one suspect.

The stalker man walked towards me and motioned me to follow him. He doesn't have any badge on his shirt as cops do, so I can't figure out his name. I know Agent Walter said his name, but I don't remember.

We walked out of the station towards a black SUV. "What's your name?" I asked.

"Kyle." He replied. I nodded and got into the SUV and he went into the driver's side. "So, where were you heading?"

"Work," I replied. He nodded and turned the engine on and drove off. The first two minutes of the car ride was awkward until I spoke up. "How do you like Highston?"

"Without all the murders, it's okay. I like the fact that it's a quiet town and that everyone knows each other."

"Do you have kids?" I asked.

He let out a laugh and shook his head, "Of course not. I'm only twenty-four and not ready for kids yet. Especially with my job. Ninety percent of my time, I'm working. But I do have a fiancé."

"That's cool," I replied. The restaurant came into view and my nerves started to kick in. I can do this. Let's just hope that Mary isn't there.

"Hey, don't worry, I'll be around to make sure everything's fine," Kyle reassured and I turned my head to look at him as he parked the car.

"You're gonna stalk me again?"

"Orders from the boss." He replied.

"Do you know why he is always rude?" I asked and he smiled.

He nodded, "Yes." I frowned. "Remember, being an FBI, it's not as easy as you might think."

I nodded but didn't answer at what he said. Instead, I thanked him for the ride then got out of the car. I looked up at the restaurant in front of me and took a deep breath. I know I can do this.

I made my way towards the door and opened it. I was glad that no one looked at me as I walked towards the double back doors. But obviously Nancy had to see me and her eyes widened in shock and she turned to look at her group of friends and whispered something. Then they all turned to look at me as I pushed the double doors and went in the back.

I let out a breath of relief.

I jumped as I heard my manager's voice. "Hi Vanessa." I turned my head and saw Samuel walking towards me. "Can I speak to you?" I nodded. "Look, I won't beat around the bush, but you're fired. I'm really sorry. But being kidnapped to raped then being to a number one suspect, I can't start losing my customers. I'm barely making a lot of money and if I start losing people, I'll lose my restaurant."

I felt the tears coming. I'm tired of this. What did I do to deserve all this?

I was glad that there's a back door here to get outside so I wouldn't have to face the customers nor Kyle. I stormed out as I felt the tears falling. My breathing started to go faster and I suddenly feel dizzy. I feel like my chest is tightening which is making me panic even more. I heard the door slam shut behind me and I placed my hand against the wall as I tried to breathe normally, but I couldn't. Everything around me is blurry.

Let me know what you think :)
