"Guys, guys!" Gabe called out as he tried to get our attention. Oh geez, I recognize that type of excitement. He uses that voice when he has a joke to tell us. Like a dad joke. The boring ones. "Why do seagulls fly over the sea?"

Chloe rolled her eyes. "I don't know, Gabe, why?" Touches of Sarcasm was clear in her voice.

"Because if they flew over the bay they would be called bagels."

I shook my head at the lame joke but Cory started laughing at the point he was smacking his thigh. Gabe smirked proudly. Oh, my dear Cory, you're only encouraging Gabe and he'll keep telling jokes like these in the future. There's no escape from them.

I haven't spoken to my dad all day and Kyle called me, asking me where I was. I told him not to follow me and that I was with my friends. I didn't go home yet, and my dad was getting angry about it, especially because tomorrow is Monday, so he considers Sunday as a school night.

Chloe was sitting in the front seat while Mike was sitting behind her, Cory in the middle and I was sitting on Logan's lap behind Gabe's seat.

The whole ride was awkward not only because of what was going on between Logan and Gabe but also because through all the car ride, I couldn't stop feeling sparks and tingles through my body as I sat on Logan's lap. I could tell he was feeling them too unless it was my imagination. Gabe didn't really speak to me and I knew I had to talk to him. I moved a bit on Logan's lap and he growled lowly, "Stop." He mumbled. I frowned and turned my head to look at him and his eyes were flashing to yellow then back to his normally green eyes. I looked at him in shock when I realized what was happening. I could feel the heat rising up to my cheeks and I quickly avoided his eyes.

I was about to apologize but got distracted when the car came to a stop.

Mike, Logan, Chloe, and I got out of the car while Cory opened his laptop. He handed me the USB key and I grabbed it. Logan went into the passenger's seat while Mike ran off to watch if anyone is coming. If so, he will text Logan and Logan will text Chloe. Gabe has to be ready to leave if anything happens.

To be honest, I was a bit stressed. I mean, we're about to do something illegal. Stealing stuff from the cops and breaking into a Sheriff's station is bad. Well, we're only breaking into an office. The station is open 24/7, but there's only one working there and two cops on patrol. Chloe and I made our way discreetly towards the Sheriff's station. We got in but stayed behind the wall so the cop couldn't see us from the main desk. I moved my way and looked and saw her on her phone. I quickly hid back and shook my head at Chloe. There's no way we can get past her without her noticing us. I frowned. The cop that usually does a night shift takes their break at this time.

Chloe and I decided to wait another five minutes to see if she'll go on her break in the employee's room to get her lunch or something. If she doesn't go, we'll need to pass to plan B. Bring Logan in and ask for directions for the closest gas station.

However, we heard a chair moving and I poked my head out of our hiding spot and saw her walking in the back. We have only thirty seconds to break into the Sheriff's office without getting noticed.

Chloe and I quickly made our way in the back of the station and I was glad there is two hallways in the station because the employee's room is in the other hallway. But most of the room is full because Agent Walter placed his men with their laptops in there. So every cop has to take their lunch at their desks. Chloe and I walked over to the door of her dad's office and I frowned as I saw that they were not using keys anymore but keycards.

I looked at Chloe disappointed but she only smiled back then held up a keycard.

"I may or may not have stolen it." She whispered. I grinned and shook my head. She pressed the card against the keypad and it made a sound then the light turned green and allowed us to enter. We slowly opened the door then shut it. I closed the blinds while Chloe made her way towards her dad's desk. I handed her the USB key. She looked under the desk and plugged the USB key into the black box and then she looked back up and turned the computer on. Next to the computer, there was a familiar laptop that Agent Walter usually uses.
