~Alexandria's p.o.v.~

"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!" I yell.

My co-workers look at me exasperated. "Alex, there's not much we can do-"

"Well, c'mon, we're getting reports about a meteor falling, pero we can't even see it on the radar?!"

"Alex," Dominic says, trying to calm me. "It's okay. we'll just get a mechanic or something-"

"Or something," I say, hand to my forehead, eyes closed, sighing.

I look up, looking at the radar. There's nothing on there. Anywhere.

"Get me a sonar. Ahora mismo." I say, trying to not seem like a bitch.

Eric, an older scientist, and a friend of my dad (or late dad.), comes and pulls up a screen, showing sonar from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans.

I look, seeing if there's anything under the water. Still nothing, or nothing other than submarines.

"What did the witness say they saw, exactly?" I ask, hand on my chin.

Janet pulls up a screen, showing the witness's report. "Said that she saw a flash of light flashing, described that light as a sort of rainbow, and said that an imprint was left, but no object was on the imprint."

Eric turned pale. "Selvig, what's wrong?" I ask, concerned.

"That's what happened when Thor came, but Thor is on Earth right now..."

I've heard this story enough to know what he was referencing. "And Thor has a brother?"

Eric nodded, but he was still pale.

I nodded. The idiot who said it was a meteor...

"Get me Fury."

....

"So, you're telling me the same man who murdered your father is here now?"

"I hope I'm wrong." I say, solemnly.

Nick sighs. "God, where's Coulson when I need him?" he turns to me. "Find him. Start tomorrow. Spend the rest of the day reading up on him."

"Sir, yes sir," I say before walking out.

....

"Cap!" I scream. "Lemme go!"

"Nah ma'am, I'm afraid I can't do that," Steve smiled as he carried me over his shoulder to my room.

"Nice ass," I comment, and I hear Cap chuckle.

He throws me down upon my bed and I sit up. "Was that really necessary?" I comment.

"Very." he replies. "study up on Loki. he's not a good guy, and he's got plenty of tricks."

"You forget, Cap. I can kick anyone's ass." I smile. Cap laughs.

"It took all of Earths mightiest heroes to take him down." Steve argues.

I sigh. "Don't remind me. Natasha and I are looking for him tomorrow..."

Cap puts a blanket over me and smiles. "You should get some sleep then Alex."

I yawn. "Maybe you're right."

Steve leans down and kisses my forehead. "For the record, you can't kick my ass."

As he walks out, I say quietly, "Wanna bet, Captain?"

....

"It's funny, I didn't think you would be decently pretty."

First thought: I'm a bit better than decently pretty. Second thought: I should be the only one in my house.

I pull the knife out from under my pillow and sit up. In a chair in the corner sits a man. I can't exactly see him, it's really dark.

"Oh, darling, I don't think you'll need that," suddenly, I feel the knife being pulled away and see it fly towards him. He grabs it in his hand and keeps it.

"H-How did you do that?" I stutter. This is weird. I'm not scared of anyone. But I'm scared now. the hairs on the back of my neck rise.

"Magic, darling," If I wasn't scared shitless, I would've swooned over his voice, which has a tinge of British in it.

He stands, and by his shadow I can see his figure. He's tall, and a bit on the skinny side. He also has long shoulder length hair.

He comes towards me, stopping by the side of my bed, five inches from me. I'm shaking. Why am I shaking? it's just an intruder who broke into my house and has my knife in his hands.

He kneels by my face and in the dark I can only see emerald eyes. I feel something sharp against my neck, and I realize he's using my knife to cut me.

I gasp, shocked so much I can't move, and he chuckles. "I'm gonna have fun with this."

And, in the blink of an eye, he's gone.
