Yes, I do realize that if I up security, it'd be harder to fake Odin's death. But I have a different idea.

Fandral left and I watched him as he go.

....

"For this lie you thought I would believe, if any of you are to call on me in times of trouble, do not expect me to answer that call."

And with that I fly out of the building, thunder rolling.

....

~Loki's p.o.v.~

"Father, is this true?"

I sit upon the throne, looking down at Thor. How I wish to tell him his little brother is sitting on the throne instead of laying in the Dark World.

But I stay silent, playing as Odin.

"I would not know, my son. But if I did know..." I drift off, wondering how Odin would react. He didn't seem to care when I told him I was dead...

"Father-"

"ALLFATHER!"

Thor and I glance up. I smile. "Jotunn." Thor growls.

Oh, this is just perfect.

I stand up, my face turning solemn for Thor's sake. "Frost giant, what do you want."

Yes, a frost giant was standing in the middle of the throne room. He stood, blue as ice, sword in his hand, made of obsidian. I froze. Obsidian is a...interesting choice of weapon for a frost giant. A cold smile was etched upon his face.

"My name is Fafner Laufeyson."

I fell to the floor. No...not another panic attack.

Thor had froze, than ran to me, in my Odin form. I kept all my concentration on breathing and not turning into Loki.

Laufeyson...he's a monster...like me...

"Stay away from him, you monster!" I heard Thor yell.

"Thor," I muttered, knowing he couldn't hear me. "Brother...help."

Meanwhile, during my panic attack, I heard Fafner laugh. "It seems Loki, murderer of Laufey, has already been done in. I will get my revenge, Asgardian, by taking out his father," he spits the words out.

My panic attack is still going, caused further by Thor swinging his hammer at Fafner. The 10 foot tall Jotunn grabs the hammer and swings it away from him. Thor stands stunned but quickly recovers.

Thor jumps, aiming his fist at Fafner's head. Fafner tried to grab him, but Thor swung around his arm, ignoring the frostbite forming on his hands, and kicked Fafner in the face. But Fafner grabs Thor from there, and with great aim and might, throws Thor through the wall of the palace, leaving him to fall towards the ground.

Fafner comes to me, and his hand around my neck brings me out of my panic attack. I smile.

"Do your worst, monster."

Fafner brings his arm back behind his shoulder, sword in hand, and I let him stab me. This part is essential.

I keep my form in Loki form for a swift second as I use my magic to create a Loki double. The Loki runs towards Fafner in rage and Fafner starts to run.

When Fafner is out of the throne room, I switch my form from Odin to Loki, and make my double disappear.

I kneel in the pool of my blood, using the blood already on the floor to cover up my wound, and I pretend to moarn. Thor flies in.

"Allfather-" Thor stops. I look at him.

"Thor...I...I came to see you...I heard you were in Asgard...I...He had been stabbed...that monster had killed Father, Thor...he...he even took the body."

Thor walked to me, fell and wrapped his arms around me. "It's just you and me now, Brother."

I grab Odin's scepter. "I take it you don't want the throne brother."

"I don't care about the throne, Loki, how are you alive?" Thor cries.

I think of a lie on the spot. "I don't know...I just woke up."

He sighs. "I'm just glad you're back, Brother."

And at that, the wound in my stomach started to throb.

"Fuck."

....

a/n hello, hello. shoutout to Wikipedia for the name Fafner (tho I don't know what actual role he plays in Norse mythology) and shoutout to @kearabee for the Obsidian-kills-frost-giants idea.

And for those wondering where Alex is, she will come up in the next chapter, I promise :)
