I smile back. "I see, my king." I kneel for half a second, then get back up.
Loki smiles. "Those are words I won't get tired of hearing."
....
I kneeled in the middle of the throne room, looking towards the floor, body faced towards the throne. God, I'm never gonna get used to this. I'm used to a democracy, not a monarchy.
"So, my king," I say, getting up from a kneeling position.
Loki smiles widely, sitting in the throne, scepter in hand, golden armor adorned on him, with a helmet that had horns on it. Normally, if I had seen someone wearing this outfit, I would laugh, but it looks great on Loki.
I feel like I've seen that helmet before...good Lord, does Loki always sit like that?
"First of all," Loki stands proudly, and I assume this is his first time on the throne. "Thank you for agreeing to be my guard and personal assistant."
I look at the king, confused. "Personal Assistant, my king? The job description said nothing about being a PA when I read it..."
Loki laughs. "Well, you can ask anybody is Asgard. Everyone knows if you are the main guard, you are also the assistant. That way you're with me at all times."
I raise an eyebrow, but stay silent. Loki sees my reaction and chuckles.
He walks towards me and my whole body tenses up. I get scared for half a second, then remember: this is Loki. I can put up a fight against him.
He stands by my side, my shoulder touching his chest, and I turn to look at his face, making sure to look at everything in the matter of three seconds. Our noses are touching and I look first at his emerald eyes, adoring how beautiful they look. Then I looked at his face, with his perfectly sculpted cheekbones and pale skin. Then I looked down at his lips. His soft, pink, full, kissable, so-very-kissable lips.
Loki catches me staring at his lips and he bites his own, making my eyes widen. He chuckles, chest vibrating with the laugh.
"You have to learn to be submissive during this job," He smirks and I stare more at his lips.
I bite my lip, something he notices. "I don't need your attempts at seduction." I laugh.
Loki laughs too, then looks at my lips. "Don't bite your lips at me," he warns. "And I don't need your attempts at talking back."
"Oh, I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about," I say. "I don't talk back. That would be disrepecting my elders."
Loki just smiles.
....
I stand at Loki's right hand, and Loki sits down in the throne, rubbing his chin with his hand. We had been making small talk, cracking a few jokes, before Thor had walked in.
"Brother! Lady Alexandria!" Thor says loudly and Loki looks attentively towards his brother. I smile. "Yes, Thor?"
Thor walks toward me, smiling, holding something. I narrow my eyes before I realize it's just a book.
"Alexandria, may I ask you something?" Thor smiles wide.
"You can call me Alex," I say, a bit confused.
Thor ignores me. "Can you explain to me who would go with the wind and where the wind would take them?"
"What book are you reading, Thor?" I ask and take the book from his hands. Gone With The Wind. I smile.
