Past ghosts

Kai:
I blinked once,
Twice but she was still there.

She stood in front of me and I felt my heart pounding in my chest,no it was not love I was feeling but the tinge and aftertaste of the bitterness she left.

"What are you doing here?"my voice  bounced of the walls.

Her face faltered slightly at the edge to my word "can't I just drop in every century?"

I rolled my eyes and took Alice's hand pulling her behind me;looking over her for injuries with my eyes.

"Leave"
"So blunt but not very effective"she laughed a little "who's the new girl?"

"Avianna does not concern you"I stepped forward at the mention of Avianna.

"Maybe I should go and pay her a visit have a...girl chat?"she grinned and twirled a bit of her hair with her finger "I can't wait to fill her in,with what you used to get up to"

"Touch her and you'll learn exactly what's worse than death"I countered
Cressida grinned "your so protective of what you believe is yours,would you really harm me ?"her eyebrow raised slightly.
"No"
"Then who will protect her?"
"She doesn't need protecting from you"
"You scare me little hunter"she rolled her mouth over my name as if the taste was exotic,I flinched.

"I wasn't aware that I was trying"rolling my eyes.

She sneered at me and looked away.she wanted to rile me up and she knew exactly how to do it.

"Perhaps Kai will offer more of a fight..."
"He won't save Avianna,he won't need to"
"Then who will?"
"Her"I nodded over to Avianna standing in the doorway.

She raised her eyebrows at me and I shrugged,grinning "ex-girlfriend"

Cressida stood a little straighter,evidently sizing Avianna up and trying to figure out what she was before she ran head first into a collision she hadn't yet sussed out she couldn't win.

"Cressida behave..."I whispered
"I am not a dog!"She screeched,her hair whipping around as she glared at me in anger.

Avianna stepped forward "stop acting like a bitch then"

Cressida launched herself at Avianna and Avianna moved to the side,flipping Cressida over her knee as she did so.

I had never seen avianna fight,me and Kai had usually stepped in just before she could.

Watching her I realised,she didn't need me to protect her,she could hold her own just fine,I suppose she had to with how she brought up.

Cressida swirled round into a feral position awaiting Avianna's attack.

I rolled my eyes as Cressida eyes widened as Avianna flicked her hand throwing her across the room into the wall.

How had she not realised what Avianna was?

"WITCH!"
Cressida yelled and grimaced on the floor as she clung onto her shoulder.
Avianna walked forward yanking Cressida from the ground and bared her fangs as her eyes lit up a bright yellow.

"W..what.. how is that possible?!"Cressida was scared,she was panicking and she knew she was beaten.

Aviannas head dipped down to Cressida ear,whispering something I couldn't hear.

Cressida nodded as she trembled and as Avianna let go of her she  fell into the
Shadows.

I stood Watching Avianna for what seemed like forever, stuck in my daydream,i hadn't realised her fist being pulled back and hitting me on the side of the face until it was to late.

Avianna:
I was fuming and I wanted to scream,the adrenaline was pumping through me and in that moment all I wanted was to hit him.

I sent Alice out of the room to go and see Aurelia for a while.she ran out of the room obviously confused as to why I had harmed hunter.

"What was that for?"hunter groaned and rubbed his face.

"That was for lying to me and not telling me about what I am!"
A flash of confusion filled his face
"I've told you,you know what you are avi!"

I chuckled slightly and leaned forward
"My vampir"

I was angry he hadn't told me but I was surprised I was acting so calm towards him.

He put his hand up between us and pulled me forward,hugging me tightly.His arms wrapped around me,squeezing the anger out of me and in that moment I melted into his arms.

I shook my head and pushed him away,shooting him a glare.

"Speak!"

Hunter ruffled his hair and sat down on the wooden floor,I slipped beside him.

"A vampir,is pretty much just like your wolf but as the name suggests it's the vampire version."

I raised my eyebrow at him and he shrugged,why was he being so vague ?.

"I can't feel my wolf anymore"my voice cracked and tears slipped down my cheeks "I d..don't know how I di...didn't realise,it was right after my birthday"

Hunter pulled me in beside him and I slipped into him,my head on his chest as I curled up.

"Your wolf isn't gone..."he breathed in as he ran his fingers through my hair "Your vampir is simply stronger and is subduing..."he hesitated slightly

"Kyra,her name is Kyra"I rubbed my eye

I felt a smile tug at his lips "If you want both your vampir and Kyra to,not subdue each other,you need to train them"

"Like a dog ?"I turned round to face him so I could see how he was reacting to the conversation.

"I suppose you could say that ..."his eyes lit up slightly

"That remind me,Rian is probably awake now..."I propped myself on my elbows,threw him a crazy face as he coughed to cover his laugh.

My phone slipped from my pocket as I stood up,I rolled my eyes,muttering "another crack"

Hunter bent down and lifted the phone,placing it to his ear,pulling a shocked face.

"Oh I am so sorry,for the disregard your owner has for you"he nodded dramatically "it is very very sad".

"Hunter give it ..."
"No"
"Hunter"
"Avianna"
"Hunter...give it"

"Give it back,"I was seriously starting to get pissed of.He dangled the phone above my head and still completely out of my reach.
I jumped and tried to grab it without success.He watched my futile efforts with an amused grin playing on his lips.

"Seriously,I'm not kidding around give it to me"I flushed to the roots of my as I realised what I had said.

His eyes lit up and a cocky grin spread on his face "you know I will"he smirked "I just want to hear you say that one more time"

I groaned, "you are never going to let me live this down"

His grin faulted and shook his head passing me the phone
"Sorry"he mumbled as he walked away out of the room.

What did I did wrong?
