Chapter 3: Graduation Surprises

        Two days before high school graduation. Zak and i have been together for 2 1/2 years now. He is my everything. Me and Aaron fixed everything so wee best friends again. Nick and Mary got engaged a couple days ago. Everything seemed good. "Zak!"  I yelled. "Yeah babe."  "Dont forget to bring the salad and the dressing please." I told him with my hands full trying to open the back door. "Okay." Zak moved in with me and dad. Mom past away a year ago. We were having a birthday party for Nick,  We hung out in the back. We were also having a pool party for his birthday. We swam for a little then we sang Happy birthday. Then when the sun started to set Zak and dad made a bonefire. While I cleaned up the patio. "Is there anything I could help with?" Mary asked. "You can help me bring in stuff and set up the cooler." I told her. We cleaned up and went down to the fire. "Whats in the cooler sweetie?" Zak asked. "Things to make S'mores, My sweet tea and drinks for y'all." We had a great night sitting by the fire. Me and Zak sat by each other. Mary and Nick sat together. and, Aaron being Aaron and telling goofing stories and acting stupid.

        Everyone said good bye and left around 11. Zak and I cleaned up. When we were done Zak locked up the house and we headed upstairs. "Babe, Can we take a shower together?"Zak asked with his puppy dog eyes and pulling me closer. We kidds then he trailed the kissed down my neck. "Why?" I asked with a smile on my face. "To... Save water." I giggled "Uh huh sure." We kissed passionatly. Lets just say we didnt take a shower together.

                        2 Days later: Graduation day.

        "Hurray up guys, you guys are ganna be late." Dad yelled from down stairs. "We will be down in a little." Zak yelled back. "Whats Wrong. Open the door Nikki." I was throwing up and I didnt want him seeing that. "Come on babe open the door." I was done puking, I got up and brushed my teeth then open the door. "I think it was the seefood we ate last night. I'm good now." I assured him. "Ok, and you look beautiful baby." "Thank you hun." and we walked downstairs.  It felt like that part in the movie when there is a special effent and its slowmo walking out, "You two look good with each other." dad said. We started walking down and half way down I grabbed my stomach and mouth and I ran all the wayto the  downstairs bathroom. It was a good thing I kept an extra toothbrush down here. After I was done puking I brushed my teeth and I walked out. "Thats it after graduation im taking you to the doctors." Zak scooled.  "No, Im fine. Its that damn fish we ate last night." I laughed. "Lets go." I said walking to the door. "I'll take my car so you can take her."saying like he knew something. "Okay."

 2 Hours later were done getting our deplomias. "We will meet you guys at  the resturant tonight." Nick said to Zak and we left.  "Ok, now to the doctors so I can know whats going on with my sweetheart." I stated blushing. You cant stay mad or upset at him with his cute face. We arrived at the doctors 15 minutes later. "I told you I didnt want to go." I told Zak as we were getting out of the car. "It's probably food poisioning." He looked at me wierd. "Food poisoning? You would be puking all day." That stopped the second time you puked. you need to get checkout." "Okay only for you."  we walked in and Zak signed me in and came to sat down next to me with a clipboard. I filled it out and handed it back to him to give to them, then he sat back down. I put my head on his shoulder. "Tired sweetie?" Zak asked sweetly. "Yeah, couse you kept me up with the video games." He laughed. "You wanted to play with me." "Nicole." My name wass called  "Thats me." I stood up and I grabbed Zak's hand and we walked in together. "The doctor will be with you guys in a moment." "Okay, thank you." "Zak, I was thinking about what you said. Food poisioning would of been with me all day. Now im kinda worried about what it is."  The doctor came in. I grabbed Zak's hand and I pulled him in for a hug. "So what has been going on Nicole? The doctor asked. "This morning while getting ready for graduation  I threw up then about 10 minutes after that I puked again." I explained to the doctor. "I think its food poisioning but he thinks its something different." The doctor asked me to pee in a cup.  He took it to the lab. 10 to 15 minutes later the doctor came in. "So the results are in." "And what do they say?" Zak said worried. "Umm, I don't know how you two will take the news. So im just going to say it." "Just say it." Zak said impationantly. I grabbed his hand and rubbed it. "Congratulation, You two are having a baby." Zak looked at me and then at the doctor. He got up and walked out. My Heart sank. "We will get you a release form shortly and congradulation agian." "Okay. and thank you agian." This was my worse fear and it came true.  I signed the paper and walked out. "I'll see you next month Mrs. Jones." "Thank you." I walked out to the waiting room to see Zak sitting there. I walked out of the waiting room to the car without talking to Zak. "Unlock the car please." I said. He walked straight over to me instead. "I'm so sorry Nikki but I got worked up, there were to many questions going threw my head when the doctor said that.  The main one was.. Was i going to be a good dad or not." I smiled at him. "Your going to be a great dad to him or her. and you dont think I wasnt worried or upset?  My mom isnt around to see my baby girl or boy." I started crying. "Awe babe dont cry. Everything will be okay. We will get threw it.. Together." He hugged me tight. "lets go home and call everyone and tell them." I smiled. "Okay." He wiped my tears and we got int he car. "Wait, why dont we tell them at dinner tonight?" I asked Zak. Zak was staring into space. It kinda seemed like he knew something I didnt.  "What?" "Okay, If thats what you want." I smiled . We pulled into the driveway. Zak opened the front door for me. "Thank you." My dad ran up to us. "Are you okay?" He asked in the state of panic. "Dad sit down and I will tell you." He sat on the couch and we sat on the love seat. "Okay what is it?" He asked impationatly. "Its your dad you tell him." Zak said nervously. "Ok, Mr. scardy pants, Umm, dad Your a grandfather." I said hesidently. He paused for a moment then stood up. "Well congradulation you two." He said and hugged us. "Take care of my daughter and my grandchild." He said to Zak like he knew something. "I will sir."

                Graduation dinner

        We met Nick, Mary, and Aaron at the olive garden for our graduation dinner. Aaron picked it cause it was his turn to pick for a night out and cause its his favorite place.  "Ok Nicole you dont have a smile on like that for nothing.. Spill the beans girl." Mary said. "Okay, Y'all ready for this?" They all shook thier heads. "Okay, well all of you are Aunts and Uncles. Mary your the god mommy." "And Aaron your the god father." Aaron got up and did his happy dance.  we all laughed. "Hey what about me?'  Nick asked.  "I dont know." Zak said. Nick had a pouty face on. After we all got done eating Zak stood up. "I want to make an anouncement. Nicole, These past  2 1/2 years have been great more then great. Your are my everything I ever hoped for in someone I want to spend the rest of my life with and more, Nicole Lynn Jones Will you marry me?" He said while getting down on one knee with a diamond ring in a velvet box. "Yes Zahary Alexander bagans."He got up and I jumped into his arms and everyone clapped two surprises in one day is kinda overwhelming so I had to sit down and start cooling myself off. 'Are you okay?" Mary asked. "Yeah, im just really overwhelmed with joy." Zak smiled.  We left the dinner everone said  congradualations and we all went our seperate ways. "Are you sure your okay?" I looked at him and smiled. "Yes, I was just overwhelmed with joy. A baby on the wayand then engaged to the nam of my dreams, Who wouldnt be overwhelmed." We kissed and we went home. We didnt even take showers. We just got changed and went straight  to bed  we were that tired. "I love you Zak." He smiled  "I love you to Nikki."
