A week had passed quickly. Yeri tried to make life hell for Jungkook, but the elder was stronger than Yeri expected. She needed new, harder ways to get rid of him. Luckily, her ankle was fine by the time Mr. Kim was back, so Yeri and Jungkook decided to keep it their little secret. Like that none of them would get in trouble.
Mr. Kim carefully scanned his girl's moody face at breakfast, as he sipped on his own tea. His eyes darted to Jungkook who munched on his bread silently. "So, how is it going? It's been a week already and Jungkook is still here. I assume that you liked him or why didn't you come running to quit your job because Yeri attacked you with her curling iron, Jungkook?" Mr. Kim laughed loudly at his joke. Jungkook coughed dryly, forcing a smile while Yeri silently ate her cereal.
"Uh, Jungkook," Mr. Kim said clearing his throat. The younger looked at him, carefully listening to his words. "Can we talk for a minute? I want to ask you about something." Jungkook nodded and both men left the kitchen, leaving Yeri behind who was still eating.
Once they reached the office, both took a seat and Mr. Kim loosened his tie. "Jungkook, this might be a big favor but I would like you to accompany Yeri to school. I already talked to her teachers and they know that I am too busy with the company and that's why I hired you. It's her last year before University and she has been ditching classes a lot lately. I don't know if she gets bullied or anything but something in school is bothering her that she keeps missing her lessons."
Jungkook frowned, nodding. "Of course, Sir. I will watch out and make sure she attends her classes." Why would she not go to her classes? Was it because of that Sehun guy she has a crush on? He would find out today for sure. "Thank you, son. I will get going then. There is still a lot of paperwork to do."
Mr. Kim hugged Yeri tightly, the girl silently mumbling against his chest "Have fun at work, dad." She stepped back and Mr. Kim smiled, cupping his daughter's cheeks. "Be a nice girl, hm?" His assistant took his bag and both left for the car that was waiting for them. Yeri waved after him and sighed when he drove off. Jungkook watched carefully from behind, leaning against a wall.
When Yeri turned around, their eyes locked and she sniffed, ignoring him before she stomped the stairs up to her room. Jungkook raised his brows, not sure what he did wrong but shrugged it off before he left for his own room to get ready. Even if it was just to watch Yeri and take care of her, he had to go to school after years again.
