"Can you tell your friends to stop staring at me? They always do that it's so uncomfortable" Jungkook mumbled, only for Yeri to hear under the eyes of Suhyun and Saeron watching him. He shifted in his seat uncomfortably and grabbed his strawberry milk sipping on it like a kid. Yeri gave her friends a look and both immediately dug into their food. "Thanks."
"Yeah, as if the whole school isn't staring at you," Suhyun sighed and looked around. Indeed, the whole school was eyeing the new, hot guy next to Kim Yeri who appeared out of nowhere this morning. He joined their classes, to which Yeri now had to take part in, or else Jungkook would immediately tell her father. He even was around during their break times and lunchtime. Girls giggled and waved at Jungkook as he passed them, he only smiled so he wouldn't seem rude to which the girls only squeaked and jumped on their spot.
Yeri rolled her eyes and turned her head to the boy. "Okay, I get it that you have to accompany me so I don't ditch lessons, but why are you even here babysitting me during lunch? I hate attention and right now the whole school is talking about me and you. That's wrong." Yeri was pissed, especially after she heard some people talking behind her back that Jungkook was her boyfriend. She didn't want such a rumor to go around and maybe even make Sehun think she had a boyfriend. Suhyun and Saeron noticed the sudden change in mood between the two and slowly took their trays, leaving the two alone so they could talk in private.
"Your father told me to follow you. It's not my fault so why are you bitching around all of sudden," Jungkook snapped back. He wasn't a fan of going to a school full of teenagers, too so he couldn't understand why Yeri would blame him. "I wouldn't tell my dad anyway, so you can just leave and let me breathe for a second. I am sick of seeing you around me," Yeri turned her head to the front, her eyes teary from anger. "Well, guess what princess, so am I, but I get paid for this job so I have to stick to it."
When the younger wanted to snap back, her eyes caught him entering the canteen. She immediately got nervous and looked for a way to get away from Jungkook so he wouldn't believe in the rumors. Yeri stood up and grabbed her tray, her head bowed down so that her hair covered her face as she walked towards the exit. What she didn't expect was a foot blocking her way, making her fall to the ground harshly. She hit her head on the hard surface of the ground and the leftovers of her food were smeared all over her uniform.
A loud echo of laughter filled the canteen and Yeri wished to be dead right there at that moment. When she looked up, she saw Jooe and Arin laughing down at her. "I am so sorry, little Yeri. I didn't see you there. Watch out next time, maybe you won't fall then." The two laughed and Yeri quickly scanned the mass of people laughing at her. Her eyes locked with Sehun who had a smirk on his lips and at that moment Yeri felt like her heart shattered into a million pieces. The bell rang so the canteen was quickly empty and Yeri finally could let out the tears she was holding in front of the whole school.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Yeri looked up at the weird accent and noticed the two exchange students Lucas and Yuqi looking at her with a concerned look. The girl with the curly hair kneeled down and took out the leftovers from Yeri's hair. Lucas helped her up so she wouldn't sit on the ground anymore. Still crying, Yeri stepped back from the two and turned around. She didn't want to seem like a bigger loser than she felt already so the two students looked at each other and decided to leave for now.
Wiping her tears with the back of her hand she didn't notice the figure stepping closer to her. "You fell in love with a jerk. I think now I know why you want to ditch classes." Yeri closed her eyes when she recognized Jungkook's voice. She wanted to leave but Jungkook was quick to grab her wrist, making the smaller swirl around to face the elder. Yeri looked at him with wide eyes, her hands balled to fists at his broad chest.
"Stop being stubborn. And let me help you."
