Marianna's pov 

It's been two days since she left.

I didn't say good-bye.

Why would I?

She left me. She abandoned me with this monster.

To think that I was willing to die for her. That I risked my life and freedom for her. When she wouldn't even do the same for me.

It's heartbreaking. I loved her so much. She was my last family after dad died. And now, I truly have no one.

I'm alone.

And I'm beginning to think that's not going to change any time soon.

I've been seeing way more of Jackson, though.

More precisely every morning for breakfast.

My living arrangements didn't change much. Although he moved me out of his room, I still sleep in a gorgeous suite not far from his. I'm not complaining.

But lately...

I've been feeling like shit.

And by that I mean, I practically cry myself to sleep every night, regretting my entire existence.

I won't lie if I said that I haven't thought about just...ending it all.

It's not like I'd be missed.

Jackson would probably be glad to get rid of me. I'm a nuisance. He doesn't say it_

Actually, he did say it.

"She's practically useless"  

He had said to Greyson.

Let's face it, the only reason I'm still alive is because he could use me as a sex doll whenever he wants. But now he should know that I won't restrict myself anymore.

I intently stare at my reflection as I run my fingers through my long brown curls.

A harsh knock on the bathroom door snaps me out of my daze.

"Mrs.Rodriguez, Mr.Krey would like to speak to you" Maria calls

I take a deep breath and puff my hair up before exiting the bathroom.

Once I open the door, I come face to face with Maria.

Before I have a chance to open my mouth, I'm interrupted by an all too familiar voice.

"Leave us" He says

Maria quickly bows before squirming out of the room, gently closing the door behind her.

I lock eyes with him, a stern expression on my face.

"What is it?" I ask

He smirks before leaning against the wall.

"The Cascal party is tonight" He says

I don't answer.

"Very important people are going to be there. And I wanted to remind you to behave. I hope that won't be an issue" He says
