Jordan
I slip out of bed, careful not to wake her. Before leaving the room, I steal a glance back at her sleeping form. She was wearing one of my sweatshirts and tightly cradling a pillow in between her legs as a distant smile decorated her pink lips. I smile in adoration at the sight before quietly exiting the room.
Today was Valentine's day and I had a whole day planned out for us.

Marianna
My phone obnoxiously vibrating on my bedside awoke me. I grunt in frustration before picking it up.
I see that it's a call from Jordan and immediately pick up.
"Hey baby_"
"Marianna, I need you to come downstairs now!" He exclaims
I abruptly sit up.
"What's wrong?" I ask, concern evident in my tone
"Just get down here" he says before hanging up
He never hangs up on me, so it must be really urgent if he did.
I jump out of bed, slip some shorts on, get into some slippers and rush out of the room.
I run down the stairs and towards the kitchen but freeze in my step when I see rose petals littering the last step of the staircase. Confused, I began following them as they seemed to lead somewhere.
It led me all the way to the kitchen, which was empty.
"Jordan" I call
Silence.
I see a letter with my name engraved on it in silver sitting on the kitchen counter and decide to read it.
It read: Meet me at the garage, I have something to show you.
I reluctantly put the letter down and head towards the garage.
As soon as I step in, the scent of raspberry fills my nostrils.
I look around and see lit raspberry scented candles spread around in a circle--adjacent to my car. In the center of the circle was another folded letter.
This one read: Meet me at our favorite park.
I was so confused as to what was actually going on so I pick my phone up and attempt to call him. But It goes straight to voicemail.
"Hey, this is Jordan. I'm probably busy so make sure to leave a message after the beep.
If it's my beautiful girlfriend, stop stalling and go to the park"
I softly chuckle before getting my keys and hopping into my car. I get to the park in about 15 minutes and see that it's completely empty. I step out and start making my way further into the park.
I suddenly see an open tunnel, overlapping a trail that had my name engraved in purple--my favorite color.
