The two of us entered the elevator in silence. Man these things really could use some music.

"Operations control," Steve spoke to the AI.

"Confirmed." It said back.
"I'm not the only one who got a weird vibe from that right?" I asked Steve.

"Something isn't right about this whole situation but I can't put my finger on it." He nodded but before the doors could close Rumlow came in with the Strike Team.

"Keep all S.T.R.I.K.E. personnel on site." He ordered as the men piled in. "Cap, Callisto." He greeted.

"Rumlow." I nodded as we began to descend.

"Evidence Response found some fibers on the roof they want us to see," Brock explained to us. "You want me to get the tac team ready?"

"No, let's wait and see what it is first." Steve shook his head.

"Right." Rumlow nodded. Steve quietly nudged me and I looked up to follow his gaze. One of the S.T.R.I.K.E. team guys had a hand over their gun, ready for action.

The elevator door opened and a flood of businessmen came in, moving us closer to the center of the elevator.

"I'm sorry about what happened with Fury," Rumlow said over his shoulder to the two of us. "It's messed up, what happened to him."

"Thank you." Steve nodded.

I looked over to one of the businessmen who was talking to another. Down the side of his temple was a tiny bead of sweat. The weird part. S.H.I.E.L.D. always blasts the AC. The door opened again and three more agents walked in.
"Records." The one said.

"Confirmed." The AI responded. As the doors closed, Steve looked at me and nodded.

"Before we get started, does anyone want to get out." I closed my hands into fists, ready for action. The one agent who entered pulled out a taser stick but I kicked it out of his hand and Steve pulled him in a choke hold. Someone hit the emergency stop button, the elevator jolting to a halt. I used my powers to create a portal on the floor, a good 6 guys falling through.

Someone grabbed a cuff that was magnetic and it held my hand to the elevator wall. I jumped up and kangaroo kicked one of the guys out of the glass elevator walls, falling to the city below us. I pulled my hand from the cuff, freeing myself. My eyes met with the scene of Rumlow pressing the taser stick to Steve's back. I kicked it out of Rumlow's hand, it falls to the city like the other guy. I decked the guy in the face, stunning the S.T.R.I.K.E. leader for a second.

As I shot another guy through a portal, Steve pulled his hand from his cuff. We both then turned to face Rumlow.

"Whoa. Big guy." He spoke softly to us which made my brows furrow in confusion. "I just want you two to know, this isn't personal!" He shouted as he attacked the two of us. He jabbed another taser stick into my torso making me scream out in pain, and applied pressure onto my stab wound from before. But Steve picked up the agent and threw him up to the ceiling.

"It kind of feels personal," Steve muttered. "You good?" He asked, looking over to my hunched over figure.

"Just a little sore." I chuckled lightly. Steve then resumed the elevator, the doors opening to show another S.T.R.I.K.E. squad.

"Drop the shield and put your hands in the air!" The leader called.

"Hold on," Steve shouted to me as he cut the wires with his shield. When it came to a skidding halt at the lower level, he pried open the door, only to see another squad running.

"The window," I told him. "We jump out, I'll make a forcefield. We'll crash through the glass ceiling below us but won't take as much damage."

"Let's go." Steve grabbed onto me, holding my body against his chest. I quickly created a forcefield, even though it wasn't the best one, it was still something.

Well, the impact still hurt like a son of a bitch. But at least we didn't break anything. We pushed ourselves up from the floor, minding the glass and made our getaway. We quickly hijacked a bike and sped through a cement closing. A fighter jet flew up in front of us and spikes raised at the exit, trying to keep us in. But as you may have been able to tell, giving up isn't exactly our style.

"Stand down, Captain Rogers and Agent Callisto. Stand down." The guns dropped from the bottom, aiming at the two of us, but Steve only sped up. "Repeat. Stand down." Steve threw his shield to knock out the turbines. I jumped up from the bike, landing on the jet. I quickly grabbed the shield out, which made it tilt in direction immediately. I changed my stance to gain better balance and threw the shield to knock out the back balancing wings. I then jumped off with the shield and met Steve back on the bike.

"Wow." He muttered.

"I've been practicing." I boasted with a small laugh
