After fighting with the doctor who didn't want me to go outside, I found a way to sneak out without him noticing. I made my way up to the roof to meet the Captain. What? Rules just aren't my thing I guess. I took a small breath as he seemed to be a little out of it, most likely because of Bucky.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked Steve, standing beside him.

"The day of my mom's funeral." He smiled sadly. "Bucky was there for me when I had nobody."

"You know he's going to be there, right?"

"Yeah, I know." He nodded.

"Steve, even though he's not the same guy as he used to be," I stopped myself, trying to fix my words. "No matter the outcome, I will be there. If it means helping him out and getting him back, or the alternative, I'm here."

"Thank you, Cali." He looked over to me with that same genuine, sad yet soft smile.

"You know I got you, Cap."

"I know. Well, we gotta gear up, it's time."

"Okay, I know they have a catsuit downstairs for me, but are you really going to wear that?" I asked.

"No. If you're gonna fight a war, you got to wear a uniform."

"Steve, you know I don't know what that means."

The four of us approached the city, making our way out of the forest. Luckily Maria was able to snag one of my spare catsuits which had the same design.

"I like the new uniform," I told Steve before changing my wording. "Well, the old uniform I guess. It suits you."

"Thanks, Cali."

Steve, Maria, Sam, and I waited at the door with guns raised. After messing with the communication system, we knew one of the guys would leave to check it out. Sure enough, the plan worked beautifully.

"Excuse us," Steve said and the guy raised his hands above his head, letting us pass. I quickly set up the mic for Steve and turned on the broadcast system.

"And we're on the air," I smirked which Steve then shed a smile before sitting in the chair. He moved the mic closer to him and taking a deep breath, he began.

"Attention all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, this is Steve Rogers." I gave him a thumbs up as he then continued. "You've heard a lot about me over the last few days. Some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth." He paused, creating a dramatic effect. "S.H.I.E.L.D. is not what we thought it was. It's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The S.T.R.I.K.E. and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you.

"They almost have what they want. Absolute control. They shot Nick Fury. And it won't end there. If you launch those helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way. Unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot. But, the price of freedom is high. It always has been. And it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not." He finished as I turned off the mic.

"Did you write that down first, or was it off the top of your head?" Sam teased, stepping forward.

Steve, Sam and I all headed toward the launching bay, getting ready to make our way up to the helicarriers.

"They're initiating the launch," Maria spoke over the comms through the earpieces.

"Hey, Cap, how do we know the good guys from the bad guys?" Sam asked out.

"If they're shooting at you, they're bad." He answered quickly.

"Stupid question equals stupid answer, Sam." I laughed before jumping off the platform and moving through the telekinesis to the helicarrier I was assigned.

As soon as I landed, guards began to shoot at me. I quickly made a forcefield and threw a grenade at them, sending the crew flying in the air.

"Hey, Cap. I found those bad guys you were talking about." Sam piped up over the comms.

"You okay?" Steve asked out.

"I'm not dead yet."

"Falcon, Status?" Maria asked as I ran down to another floor, taking on more guards. I quickly opened a portal under their feet, having them fall through before closing it.

"Engaging." I could hear the rocket shots from outside as I picked up a gun from one of the guards. "All right, Cap. I'm in."

"Eight minutes, Cap," Maria spoke through again. I ducked down to another story and shot out at least three guards.

"Alpha lock." Steve then spoke.

"Jesus he's fast," I muttered under my breath as I ran through to the next room.

"Cali, what's your status?"

"Still working on getting to the dome. Clearing level three." I whispered as I hid behind a metal shelving unit. I turned around the side taking out another two guards.

"Falcon?" Maria asked.

"Had to take a detour!" There was a brief pause before he signed in and called for Bravo lock.

"Two down, one to go." I quickly cleared the last room before making it down to the dome. But when I heard a familiar heavy walk I didn't have to turn around.

"Steve, I need back up."

"I'll be there in five minutes." He called me.

"You might wanna make that two."

"Charlie carrier is 45 degrees off the port bow," Maria spoke up. "Six minutes."

"Steve, I'm going offline." Before he could argue I turned my earpiece off and turned around.
