I sat in my living room after Aja left. She was pissed with me, but still this was the first time that she ever just walked away.

What Gil said, and that whole conversation we had was based on something else. Never had Gil ever said anything of that nature before.

We hadn't even spoken since the night he stormed out of my house. Something else was bothering him and he didn't want to bring it up yet, but I would later.

Whenever we got a chance to speak again, these days he's been doing nothing but dodging me. Every time I ask is he busy, the answer is always 'yes'.

My doorbell ringing made me get up and go to my door. I knew it wasn't Aja because she had a key.

When I opened the door, Mariah stood on the other side.

My eyes widened in shock. "Mariah? What are you doing here?"

"Wow baby, you aren't happy to see me?"

I looked behind her car and towards my driveway. Aja would be here soon, she told me she was coming back later.

"Look, Mariah you can't be here right now."
