Aja and I walked down the steps and met the people who had brought her here. Against her will, mind you.

They all looked up and frowned when they saw Aja and I weren't interacting.

"Okay, I'm about to punch both of y'all in the throat." Shawn threatened us. "I know y'all better be about to say y'all dating again cause I don't like wasting time."

I looked at Alexandria. "What you doing in here, Morgan?"

"I got your girlfriend here, Jackson." She shot out and we shared a look of venom.

Even though she did help, I still can't stand her ass.

"Mhm." I mumbled back.

Aja looked between me and Alexandria and sighed. "Alex you need to apologize to Janet."

The woman looked at Aja before speaking. "Look, I'm sorry that I tried to kiss your girlfriend, Janet. If I wasn't sincere I wouldn't be here trying to get y'all back together."

I nodded. "I accept your apology."

Yes, I was lying. No, I didn't trust that woman as far as I could throw her, but if that's what Aja needed and wanted me to say, then fine.

She threw me a toothless grin and I had to clench my fist in order to keep from pointing the finger at her.

It was truly something that I didn't like about that woman, I just couldn't place my finger on it yet.

"Okay apologies were swapped, Karla you're up." Aja shot her friend a look.

"Uh, Janet..." Karla called my name and I looked at her. "I'm sorry for saying that you had my friend brainwashed. Even though you do—."

"Karla!" Aja shouted out.

"Fine, I'm sorry for saying that. I'll keep my comments to myself." Karla promised me and Aja.

Aja smiled. "Okay well, now that everything is settled—."

"Wait." I stopped her seeing a figure at my door and knowing who it was. "We need to settle just one more thing."

I went and opened my front door as my best friend stepped in. "J, this better be a damn emergency. I cancelled a dick appointment for your ass and I—."

Gil stopped talking when he saw everyone looking at him.

"Gil, you owe Aja an apology." I told him straightforward.

"I don't owe her shit."

Everyone looked at Gil as Shawn stood up. I shook my head. "Gil, I love you. You're my best friend, but if you don't respect my relationship then you don't respect me. So make your choice, because Aja isn't going anywhere anytime soon."
