"Aja!" Her voice echoed in my home and I chuckled as I walked down the hall. "B—."

She stopped speaking when she saw me appear in the kitchen with her. "Yes baby?"

"Babe." Mira frowned at me. "It's empty."

"Oh. The fridge." I pointed out sarcastically. "I couldn't tell."

My girlfriend pointed me the middle finger as she pouted. "You're really mean to me."

Rolling my eyes playfully, I went and wrapped my arms around her waist. "I'm kidding baby, let's go grab something to eat. I haven't eaten today anyways."

She looked back at me and smiled. "Say no more."

Our lips met before she scrambled to get her shoes on as I laughed at her quickness. "All I have to say is food, and you're in huh?"

"Oh and you know this." She notes as she put on her slides. "I'm always in for food. Where we going?"

I picked my keys and phone up as I followed her out the door. "Doesn't matter. Your pick."

"I picked last time."

"So you don't want to pick again?" I raised a eyebrow her way knowing that she did.

"Okay. I sorta, kind of, might have already made reservations at Chun's."

"Chun's? Why such a fancy place? I don't have on Chun's wardrobe right now. Let me go change." I went to walk back to my room.

Her voice made me stop. "No!" She saw my face and scratched behind her head. "Sorry, I mean, you just look great already. You look fine. No need to change."

I narrowed my eyes at her. "Mira, what are you up to? You are entirely too nervous right now."

She shook her head as she attempted to lie to me. "I'm not."

Raising a eyebrow at her, I held my look. "That was a lie."

"Baby, let's just go. Please?" She looked at me finally but not before she tugged at her ear a bit. Something was making her nervous.

Letting it go for the time being, I nodded and headed towards the door following her out.

"I'll drive." She offered as she got into the drivers seat and I knew something weird was going on now.

Amirah drove as little as possible in LA, she didn't do it in New York, so she doesn't like doing it now.

Noting it, I slid into the passenger side and sat my car keys down. She started my car and we were on our way.

As she drove, I noticed that her hands were trembling slightly. "Pull the car over."

"Huh?" I had caught her off guard with my statement.
