"Attack!" The tiny black she-cat yowled as she leaped, tackling her brother. The young striped tom laughed and they tumbles around the grassy clearing in a tangle of paws and tails.
The little tom reared up, "Rawr! I'll get you Flowerkit!" He squeaked. Sun glinted off his golden and black striped pelt as he crashed down toward his sister.
The black she-cat's yellow eyes glinted and she leaped up, crashing into her brothers stomach, "Oh no you don't Bumblekit!"
Her brother squeaked as Flowerkit rammed him to the ground. He whimpered, "Mama! She did it again!"
Poppytail picked Flowerkit up by the scruff besides her complaints, setting her down and looking sternly at her.
"You know not to play so rough with your brother." She said, her voice cold and her green eyes stern.
"It's not my fault he's to weak!" Flowerkit protested, frustratingly raking her tiny claws across the grass. Poppytail was about to snap out another stern order to the kit when her father interrupted.
"It's alright Poppytail, she's only a kit she didn't do any real harm did you Flowerkit?" The muscular sleek-pelted black tom asked. Flowerkit shook her head, stretching her yellow eyes wide, "Of course not! Bumblekit just overreacted a bit." Flowerkit pointed out to her father. Poppytail grumbled, "I'll speak with you later Sparrowstrike." Then the she-cat returned to licking Bumblekit. Sparrowstrike grinned playfully and bowled Flowerkit over, lumbering around the sunny clearing like a fox in a fit.
Flowerkit squealed in joy and leaped onto him, pulling on his ear and clinging to his pelt like a burr with tiny thorn sharp claws.
A few of the other warriors watched, twitching their whiskers in amusement as the father and daughter bounded around in the shade of the trees.
Sparrowstrike rolled onto his back, flailing his paws as Flowerkit leaped onto his belly.
She gave a strong swipe to his nose, catching him by surprise. He stood back up, wiggling his nose, "Wow quite a little warrior already aren't you."
He was surprised at this tiny three moon old kit, who managed to throw a strong blow to a full grown warrior.
Flowerkit's mother saw a flash of dark satisfaction flicker across the kits face. She recoiled slightly at this look she would see on a full grown traitorous cat, she never expected to see it on that of a kit, especially her own.
She shook her head to ignore it, and continued washing Bumblekit as Sparrowstrike played with Flowerkit in the ThunderClan clearing.
