Flowerkit opened her eyes, blinking sleep from her eyes. Where am I? The black she-cat wondered, aware of her surroundings.

A ominous dark forest loomed over her, thick branches blocking out any chance of light.

The ground was peaty underpaw, and Flowerkit felt no pain as she stood, surprising herself a bit.

Flowerkit's curiosity pulled her deeper jnto the foggy forest. The air smelled of crow-food like the mouse she and Bumblekit had found. She opened her mouth and another metallic scent hit the roof of her mouth.

It didn't take long for her to recognize the smell of blood, it clung to the air around her. "Hello!?" Flowerkit called, surprisingly not afraid.

A massive ragged tom padded from the shadows, his pelt littered with scars like grass bits that clung to his fur. Fierce yellow eyes glowed and a white circle was around one, suddenly she remembered where she had seen this tom.

"You were there when I fought, who are you?" Flowerkit narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the giant cat. He grinned, pointed teeth glinting, "My name is Shadeheart, I am a friend, and your soon to be mentor death-bringer."

Flowerkit was puzzled at this strange word, death-bringer. She looked the cat up and down, his calm cool gaze fixed on her, he seemed to be judging her as well.

Flowerkit noticed things she had never noticed in cats before, things she had never looked for. His eyes glinted with curiosity, "When you fought that tom you bit his leg, which ended up being a sensitive spot, I do nnot believe that was a lucky strike."

Flowerkit decided she could trust this cat, if he wanted her dead she would be dead already. "I can't explain it, but I could tell where his weak point was, the way he moved and leaped showed there was a weak point on his leg, and I pinpointed where his weak point was."

He nodded interested, "Do you know where my weak points are?"

Flowerkit's mind worked quickly, calculating the massive cat. "In the middle of your tail there's a slightly crooked bone that would be painful for me to bite, the scar on your shoulder is sensitive if I were to scratch you there, and your right ear was recently wounded and would be painful for me to claw."

The toms eyes widened in surprise, "Very promising death-bringer, you will be better then I imagined, but for now rest I will speak with you again later."

To Flowerkit's dismay the ominous forest, and giant cat faded away despite her yowls. Then Flowerkit sank back into a deep restful sleep.
