a/n: this takes place in a modern au :)

Today is Saturday, which means today is my livestream day. I set up my lighting, webcam, and cup of tea and prepared to go live. My Youtube channel hit 1 million yesterday, so this stream is special. To celebrate, I decided to switch it up from green tea to lavender tea with honey. Fancy fancy, right? The moment I started the livestream, hundreds of people joined. And then thousands. It freaked me out a little that there was that many humans out there watching my every move for the next hour and a half or so. The chat came alive as hellos came flooding in. "Hey guys! Welcome to stream Saturday. Today is August 16th, 2018 and the weather is surprisingly chilly? How are you all doing?" I waited a couple seconds before I spoke again. "So, what should we do today?" I typed a list of options for the viewers to pick from, and 5 minutes later, the winner was play a video game. "Ah, you guys are in luck! I just downloaded The Amazing Adventures of Caption Spirit! As many of you know, I was in love with the original game, Life is Strange, and the developers recently came out with Caption Spirit to hype up the second game. Are you guys ready to cry because I sure am!" I got up to turn on my Xbox when my door opened. My friend Sal was leaning in the door frame. "What an unexpected surprise, hi Sally. What's up?" I greeted him. "Nothing much, but me and Larry and making pizza for later and we forgot to get tomato paste. I wanted to see if you had any before I went to the store." I nodded and happily gave him directions to where the paste was, unaware of the insanity exploding in the chat. "Okay bye Sal, see you at 7, right?" He gave me a thumbs up. "Yep, see you." And he was gone. I sighed and decided to check how everyone was doing. I immediately blushed when I realized that the entire chat was filled with questions if Sal was my boyfriend. "Oh, no, he's just a friend." I affirmed quickly. "I mean, I have a little crush on him, but it's nothing major." Winking, I started up my game.
It took me an hour and twenty minutes to finish Caption Spirit, and of course by the end I was nearly sobbing. Sad game, man. I said some closing words and ended the livestream. It was 5:15 when the video finished uploading to Youtube, and as soon as that was done it was time to started cooking and getting ready for Sally's apartment hang out thing. After much thought, I chose comfy over sexy. I mean, it's not like i'm trying to impress anyone.

"Super hipster, nice job Y/N" I laughed to myself

"Super hipster, nice job Y/N" I laughed to myself. Sal and Larry love my seven layer burrito dip, so I made that and brought some chips. Before I left, though, I decided to check my instagram. My stomach got a weird feeling when all I saw was screenshots of Sal and contemplation if we were dating or not. "Shhhhhit."
Walking into Sal's apartment, I saw Larry, Ash, and Todd playing mario kart while Sal laughed at them on the couch. They greeted me and I took a seat next to Sally. "Hey y/n, are you okay? You look a little pale." He inquired. "Yeah, can I talk to you? Like alone?" We slipped away onto his balcony. "So uh, remember when you came into my apartment asking for tomato paste? Well, I was live-streaming, and you know the internet. Anyway long story short a lot of people think we're dating. I just wanted to let you know before you found out from somewhere else." I bit my lip and looked down. He was silent for a moment, and then he laughed. It started as a giggle, but it progressed into side-hurting laughter. "Ahahaha, Y/N, I thought you were gonna tell me you were pregnant or something. This isn't a big deal, I like you anyway. Why do you think I'm always finding ways to go to you apartment?" It took me a minute to realize what he said, but when I did, I smiled really wide. "Really? Wow, I've liked you this whole time!" "Then you won't mind if I confirm the rumors?" He asked. "No, I won't mind at all." He put his arms around my waist, staring into my eyes. I reached up to undo the bottom strap of his mask, and kissed him. It was perfect. When we pulled apart, He was smiling. "We should get back to everyone else before they get suspicious. I nodded and opened the door.
The rest of the night, he kept sneakily holding my hand. I ended up staying the night, and, well, I'm sure you can imagine the rest. As I laid awake in his bed, I replayed the days events. If we get married, I can tell our kids that we started dating because of damn tomato paste. If. Yeah.
