Q: Will there be a sequel to MTAT?

A: I don't think so. Maybe one day I'll get the inspiration to make it, but for now I don't plan on having a sequel. If there's one thing I've learned from watching movies, it's that dragging something on and on will make it boring.

Q: Who is Haidar Balarabe?

A: Read 'After The Honeymoon (part 9)' to find out.

Q: Who's your favorite writer on Wattpad?

A: At the moment, it's a tie between Miryamaah, Mjaayy_, ummyasmeen and RobThier.

Q: What inspired you to write MTAT?

A: I watched a movie with my sister (Yasmeen_nasir)one day on Africa Magic (don't judge me) about an abusive marriage. Halfway through the movie, she said "No man can be this evil towards his wife". Naturally, I disagreed, and we began to argue even though it was 11pm. So when I went to bed, I started reflecting on the movie and I began to type a short paragraph on my thoughts, like I always do whenever I get a brilliant idea. Eventually, that small paragraph turned into a chapter, which eventually turned into a book.

Q: Are any of the characters inspired by real-life people?

A: Salma, Gumel, Haidar, Safiya, Nabilah, Hajiya Ummi and Mansur's dad are inspired by people I know. Though they are not 100 percent similar.

Q: Don't you feel weird writing a book about marriage as a guy?

A: I laughed so hard when I read this question. Honestly, I don't. I see no reason why a guy can't write a book about stuff like this. Maybe it's weird to some people, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

Q: Are you married?

A: Bikó, I'm not. If you have a fine sister you can dash me, let me know. 😂

Q: Who's your role model?

A: My father. (And Chris Hemsworth, but don't tell him I said that)

Q: Where do you get the inspiration to write from?

A: My siblings helped out a lot while I was writing. We actually used to argue about the characters in the book as if they actually existed.

Q: Favorite books on Wattpad?

A: The entire Storm and Silence series, Silently Falling, From The Eyes of A Spinster, Chasing Red, Roommates, Where Flowers Wither, It's Only Temporary, Prince With Benefits, The Bad Boys Girl, Anisa and Alkyabba.

Q: Why don't you update soon?

A: I've got a lot of things to do. I have very limited time to type, which I feel so bad about because I know how frustrating it can be to wait for an update. I'll definitely work on that bad habit. 😇

Q: Favorite pastime?

A: YouTube and Spotify. I also spend most of my time stalking my crush on Instagram.

Q: What's next for Salma and Usman?

A: Hopefully, they'll have a happy married life with lots of kids. And they'll grow old together and eventually die in each others arms.

Q: What are you working on presently?

A: Currently, I'm concentrating on my new book "IT'S ALL IN THE HENNA". Most of my energy is going into it. Also, for those of you who love suspense I've started a new book called FIVE SECONDS. How I'm going to split my concentration on both books, I don't know. But we shall see, Insha Allah.
